Arigato — thank you.
A word we hold close, because it carries more than gratitude — it carries sincerity, acknowledgement, and respect.
Six years ago, Azabu didn’t begin with a blueprint. It began with people: chefs chasing craft, teams learning side by side, and a shared belief that Japanese hospitality could be reimagined here — quietly, thoughtfully, and with heart.
Today, we honour the people who made this journey possible.
To our guests who return season after season, to our partners who walk with us, and to every member of our team who brings care to the smallest detail — thank you.
The hats, the awards, the recognition — these are markers, not endpoints.
What matters most is the spirit behind them: Be Maro — hospitality rooted in sincerity, craft, and genuine care.
Six years in, we remain driven by the same belief we started with:
that every experience should feel personal, intentional, and worthy of being remembered.
Arigato — from all of us at Azabu.
To celebrate our 6th anniversary, special offerings across all of our venues will be revealed shortly — stay tuned.

What people say
Japanese restaurants are known for their unique dining experiences and Hanasuki on Anderson Street in Sydney is no exception. This Japanese restaurant offers a one-of-a-kind Shabu Shabu experience that will leave you wanting more. The restaurant recently announced that they are now open 7 days a week, so there's no excuse not to try it out.
The Shabu Shabu set at Hanasuki comes with an appetizer, assorted farm-to-table seasonal vegetables, your choice of meat or seafood, and zousui, a Japanese Congee. They also have a selection of sashimi and other add-ons that you can check on their iPad or ask their servers about.
Hanasuki takes pride in providing exceptional service to their customers and they recently received a wonderful review from one of their satisfied customers. Their staff is always ready to help and provide tips on how to enjoy your shabu shabu meal even more.
If you're planning to visit Hanasuki soon, make sure to follow these tips: put the mushrooms and the tough part of the cabbage first for a more umami flavor, use the sauces and condiments to boost the flavor of your shabu shabu meal, and if you run out of veggies, you can ask for a refill for free.
Overall, Hanasuki is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience in Sydney.
