✨ Meet Alvin — the barista who refuses to quit dreaming ✨
Most people don’t see it… during the preparation of competition time, most of the night, our barista Alvin trains his latte art until 1am+.
This year, he competed in the Australian Latte Art Championship and placed 3rd 🥉 in the country — his third year entering, his best result yet. 🇦🇺☕️
And while doing that?
He’s still working full days at Leaf Cafe Rhodes.
No shortcuts. No excuses. Just pure effort.
Success — whether in life, career, or competition — is never accidental.
It’s built on hard work, lonely nights, quiet pain, and the courage to keep going when no one is watching.
Watching Alvin grow these past few years (and watching ALL our baristas grow!) makes me so proud.
Meanwhile my own latte art… still stuck at Level 1 😂
But that’s why Leaf Cafe Rhodes is special — every staff member gives their best, every single day, for this team and for this little café we love.

We are closing earlier.

🚪 Shop closes: 3:45 pm

To get to the café located on Walker Street in Rhodes, there are options for both public transport and driving. If you prefer to use public transport, you can take either the train or bus to Rhodes Station. From there, it's just a short walk of around 10 minutes along Walker Street until you reach your destination.
If you choose to drive, there is street parking available on Walker Street and surrounding streets. However, please be aware that parking can be limited during peak hours. Additionally, there is also a car park located at Rhodes Waterside Shopping Centre which is approximately a 5-minute walk from the café.
Regardless of how you choose to travel, remember to check the business hours and plan your visit accordingly.
