A Walk Down Memory Lane at Keramic 1921 🤍✨

As we look back on the Christmases we once shared, our hearts are filled with memories of laughter, celebrations, and warm gatherings that brought our café to life. Each photo holds a story — familiar faces, joyful moments, and friendships that meant so much to us 📸💫

This year feels different. Our doors are no longer open, and we’re not able to host you like we used to. But these memories remind us of the strong bond we built together — something that will never fade 🤍

This Christmas, we simply want to say thank you. Thank you for your support, your smiles, and all the beautiful moments we shared. We wish you a peaceful, joyful Christmas 🎄✨ and a New Year filled with hope.

We truly hope that one day, our journey will bring us back to Westmead again. Until then, please don’t lose hope — we certainly haven’t 🌻

Merry Christmas with love,
Keramic 1921 🤍

💔 ONE LAST CUP — ON US

This Tuesday, we’re giving away free coffee.
Not because we’re celebrating — but because we’re saying goodbye.

Come for the coffee.
Stay for the memories.
Be part of our last chapter — with a warm cup and a full heart. ☕

Thank you for being part of the Keramic story. 🖤
We’ll be here — until the very last cup.

🕯️ KERAMIC is closing at this location.
But this isn’t the end — it’s just the end of a chapter.

After years of brewing coffee, sharing smiles, comforting regulars, and being a part of Westmead’s heartbeat… the time has come for us to say goodbye to this beloved little corner we called home.

This may be our last dance,
but the music — your laughter, your kindness, the warmth of our conversations — will echo in our hearts forever.

We didn’t choose to leave.
But even in this moment of parting, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for what we’ve built together:
A café that became a refuge.
A kitchen that felt like grandma’s.
A dining room filled with stories, friendships, and love.

To our cherished Westmead community,
thank you — for every visit, every hug, every coffee shared.
You didn’t just support a business.
You gave meaning to a dream.

We don’t know yet where the road leads.
But one thing we know for sure:
We’ll be back — somewhere, somehow.
Because Westmead is — and will always be — our home.

💛 Please follow our next chapter
We have more stories to tell.
And we’d love you to be part of them.

💔 Time is running out…

Keramic Café may be closing soon, but the memories, laughter, and warmth we’ve shared will live on.

If you’ve ever walked through our garden gates, we invite you to come back — not just for coffee, but to feel the heart of this place one more time.

Let’s make these final days unforgettable — together.
With love always,
Keramic 1921

🏡⛪️In 1921, the Galbraith family built this house and named it “Keramic.”

Decades passed…
It became forgotten — left empty, lifeless.

Until one day in 1977,
Dr. Gloster Udy, Superintendent of Parramatta Mission, drove past and said:

“We must buy this house…
so people coming to the hospital have somewhere to rest, eat, and pray.”

We are the next generation who saw the value in that vision.
And we chose to bring Keramic back to life.

We didn’t just open a café.
We revived a spirit.
We gave meaning back to the name “Keramic.”

Vintage lamps. Antique furniture. Warm coffee. Shared laughter.
All filled this once-forgotten space with love and life.

But now, someone from outside wants to erase it all.

What they don’t see is this —
This place holds energy.
The kind built by stories, intention, and care.

And you can’t tear down what lives in people’s hearts.

Every cup, every plate, every moment — we pour our heart into it, just like always.

Thank you to everyone who’s come by, sat with us, laughed with us, and supported us.
You’ve made this journey unforgettable.

💔 One of our last acts before closing Keramic…

Yesterday, while we were putting up our Save Keramic poster, a mother walked in quietly and asked,
“Can I place this here — anywhere, even just for a little while?”

She wasn’t asking for much. Just a small space. Just a small chance.
Because her daughter, Charlotte, is fighting for the chance to walk again.

We gave her the best spot we had — right by the counter.
Because when you know what it feels like to lose something you love,
you do whatever you can to help someone else hold on.

🙏 If you can help — even a little — please scan the QR code and donate.
Let this be our final good deed, as Keramic closes with purpose and love.
Because we’re more than a café. We are, and always have been, a community.

✨ Have you ever noticed the Roman numerals on our Keramic sign?
VII·XII·MMXX — December 7th, 2020.

It’s not just decoration.
That was the day we opened our doors for the very first time.
The first coffee was brewed.
The first meal was served.
The first smile that welcomed you into this little home in Westmead.

Back then, we only thought about beginnings.
We never imagined we’d one day have to think about an ending.

Now, we’re quietly asking ourselves:
When will the last coffee be made?
The last smile shared?
The last time we take that sign down?

Thank you for making that date more than just an opening.
You turned it into a beginning of something real —
a bond between people, stories, and this place we’ve all come to love.

Some places serve food.
Others serve comfort.
But Keramic… it served belonging.

We didn’t just run a café.
We held space for tears, for laughter, for quiet mornings and chaotic lunches.
For nurses on break. For friends reuniting. For families celebrating.
For those who simply needed to feel seen.

Now, we’re being asked to leave the walls we brought back to life.

If this place ever meant something to you,
please… scan the QR code. Leave a message.
Lend your voice to something that was never just business —
It was home.

📲 One voice may seem small, but together, we’re louder than silence.

Let’s give Keramic the farewell — or the fight — it deserves.

💔 We’re being asked to leave… but we’re not leaving quietly.

For the past 4–5 years, Keramic 1921 has been more than just a café.
It’s been a warm space for hotel guests, healthcare workers, and our beautiful Westmead community.

Now, we’ve been asked to leave the heritage house we’ve lovingly restored.
No time. No chance to fight for what we built.

👉 If Keramic ever made you smile, comforted you after a long shift, or simply gave you a place to belong — please sign this form and leave a message of support.
