Cafe Dougie, located on Bourke Street in Sydney, is a must-visit breakfast and brunch spot. Their house-made Gran-ola topped with coconut yogurt, seasonal fruit, and a Passionfruit and orange compote is simply delicious. For those looking for something warm on a cold day, their batch brew coffee is the perfect pick-me-up. The Potato Hock Benedict is a hearty dish that's perfect for colder weather - smoked ham hock terrine and 2 poached eggs topped with apple cider hollandaise and pickled fennel all aboard a crispy potato rosti. Their Loaded Avo Toast is another must-try item on the menu - fresh chilli, Danish feta, basil pesto, and microherbs all atop a thick toasted slice of sourdough bread. Cafe Dougie also has a great sense of humor as seen in their social media posts such as "SCHNITTY SCHNITTY BANG BANG!" which features their delicious crumbed chicken. Their Chilli Scrambled Eggs are also worth trying - house-made chilli relish scrambled through free-range eggs all aboard a thick cut piece of Sonoma Sourdough topped with freshly shaved pecorino and garnished with curly spring onions, coriander, and fresh chilli! Lastly, their Halloumi Names Dougie dish is an absolute delight - smashed avo, grilled halloumi, watermelon radish, pomegranate, pickled red onion, cherry tomatoes all come together to create an explosion of flavors in your mouth. Overall Cafe Dougie offers great food with excellent service making it one of the best cafes in Sydney.
