POV: you meet the man on the back of the Lindt packet and suddenly you’re a dark chocolate connoisseur 🍫✨

An intimate night of chocolate tasting, cocoa beans, flavour pairings and pretending I’ve always eaten chocolate this way, and haven’t shoveled it into my mouth like a competitive eater.

10/10 experience. Monzir still thinks the takeaway chocolate is “ours” lol. Thank you to & master chocolatier 🤍

Honey, fig & olive oil cake for my nene 🍯🌿

The start of my “Baking for Loneliness” series where I bake something, make a cuppa, and use it as an excuse to spend time with someone I love. This one was for my nene because she adores figs, olive oil and yoghurt… and honestly sometimes the smallest things, like sitting together over cake and tea, can mean the most.

This cake is soft, rustic, slightly nutty and somehow tastes even better the next day. Made in one bowl with almond meal, Greek yoghurt, honey and jammy fresh figs throughout. The kind of cake that feels like a warm hug.

Recipe:
Ingredients
• 180g Greek yoghurt
• 130ml extra virgin olive oil
• 100g honey
• 50g caster sugar or brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla
• Zest of ½ orange
• 120g plain flour
• 80g almond meal
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ¼ tsp bicarbonate soda
• ½ tsp cinnamon
• Pinch salt
• 120–150g fresh figs, chopped

Optional topping
• Extra fig slices
• Pistachios or walnuts
• Honey drizzle after baking

Method
1. Preheat oven to 170°C conventional. Grease and line a 16cm round tin.
2. In one bowl whisk together yoghurt, olive oil, honey, sugar, eggs, vanilla and orange zest.
3. Add flour, almond meal, baking powder, bicarb, cinnamon and salt. Fold gently until combined.
4. Fold through figs.
5. Pour into tin, top with extra figs and bake for 40–50 mins until golden.
6. Drizzle with extra honey while warm.

Bake something this week… and share it with someone who might need a little company too 🤍

I created a cake inspired by the notes of Good Girl Jasmine Absolute. Layers of tonka bean sponge, tonka bean & mandarin crèmeux, mandarin caramel ganache, toffee shard crunch, and a salted caramel drizzle to bring out the warm jasmine, caramelised toffee and roasted tonka notes of the fragrance ✨

Soft, feminine, bold… and a little bit dangerous.

The perfect nostalgic kids party treat! Rice krispy caramel chocolate freckle slice because basic just isn’t my thing 🩷

Soft, gooey rice krispy base + thick caramel layer + milk chocolate + freckles on top… it’s a lot, in the best way

MallowWhip is the secret heregives that perfect soft, chewy texture and holds everything together
Now available

Recipe:
Rice krispy base
• 3 cups rice bubbles
• 200g Mallow Whip
• 50g butter
Melt Mallow Whip + butter, mix through rice bubbles, press into lined tray

Caramel layer
• 1 tin condensed milk
• 100g butter
• 2 tbsp golden syrup
Simmer on low, stirring, until thick and golden. Pour over base

Top
• 200g milk chocolate, melted
• 100’s & 1000’s

Pour chocolate over caramel, sprinkle generously, set in the fridge, slice and try not to eat the whole tray
