Hey guys! 👋 This is RK, chef at RK San.
Today, I’m taking you behind the scenes to show you how we make one of our most popular dishes, our Edible Tuna Cigar, from start to finish! 🔥
A lot of people see it and think it’s a real cigar — and I get asked all the time, “Can you actually smoke it?” 😂
Well, here’s the answer: No, you can’t smoke it, but you can definitely eat it! 😉
We start with fresh, sashimi-grade bluefin tuna, finely diced and mixed with finely chopped eschalots. We then sear it over an open flame with sesame oil and our special seasoning before filling it into crispy pastry, freshly prepared and baked in-house.
The result? A unique, smoky, crispy and delicious creation that looks like a cigar but tastes absolutely incredible!

For those using public transport, the closest train station is Central Station. From there, take the exit towards Elizabeth Street and walk east for about 10 minutes to Cleveland Street. The restaurant will be on your left-hand side.
For those driving, take the Eastern Distributor and exit towards Cleveland Street. There is limited street parking available on Cleveland Street and surrounding streets. Alternatively, there is a Wilson Parking lot a few blocks away on Chalmers Street.
