🏆 WHAT HAPPENED ON 12 OCTOBER 2024? WE TOOK CAMPBELLTOWN TO THE WORLD! 🌍🇦🇺🇹🇷
Some days are unforgettable, no matter how many years pass… For the King Kebab House family and Campbelltown, 12 October 2024 was one of those days! Surrounded by the love, support and cheers of thousands of people on Queen Street, we achieved a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD in our category with a 550-kilogram serving of doner kebab meat and chips! 🏆 We brought our kebabs, our hard work and the name of Campbelltown to the world stage. Across tables stretching over 100 metres, people from different cultures came together to share our food, our joy and our pride. This unforgettable achievement featured in Guinness World Records’ own coverage, Good Morning Macarthur and AMUST, and travelled across borders through US-based UPI, the Philippines’ Philstar/Pang-Masa and Albanian-language publication Telegrafi. A story that began in Campbelltown was read in different corners of the world! 🌍 Supporting 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Macarthur through our event gave this achievement an even deeper meaning. Today, we remain proudly listed on Guinness World Records’ official website as the record holder in this category. Our team’s dedication, our family’s encouragement, our customers’ love and our community’s belief all helped make this possible. To everyone who supported us, worked alongside us, cheered us on and shared this moment—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️ Looking back at the photos and videos brings all that excitement rushing back: together, we believed; together, we achieved; together, we made history! We were proud to join the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Macarthur at Campbelltown Athletics Stadium, representing King Kebab House and standing alongside our wonderful community.
Seeing so many people come together to support those affected by cancer was truly moving. Behind every step is someone we love, someone we remember, or someone we’re cheering on. 💜
A heartfelt thank you to the organising committee, volunteers, walkers and everyone who contributed. You show what makes Macarthur so special people looking after people.
