Hi Folks ,
Just EIGHT weeks and it’s Christmas . A couple of hectic months away but still a lot to happen before then .
I’m guessing there’s a Black Friday sales event to come and for us Next Month ,Formosa is teaming up with the MOVEMBER Appeal Organisation to increase the awareness of our Men’s mental health issues and help with Men dealing with cancer prevention. It’s a couple of weeks away yet and we’ve still time to organise that event but we do hope you’ll join us in raising some money to support ‘our blokes’ within our community who perhaps need some help .

Lightly battered and momentarily deep fried the chops are then wok stir fried in Dad’s sauce together with Beans ; Capsicum and Onion.

Hi Folks,
We hope you’ve had a good week and that you’re looking forward to a restful next couple of days or so.
Now the saying goes “ All good things must come to pass “ … and that’s true to some degree with our ending the offering of our current ‘Special’ ( Peking Beef).
However , Dad has continued to make some more of this popular sauce and we are therefore
creating another dish combining it with :
Pork Chops in Peking Sauce

Hi folks ,
The few words included in this posting are put out to You , our customers that are still around the area and are not on a ‘Springtime’ breakaway . Its been a bit quiet at the Currans Hill Shopping Hub this week ( which we expected ) and so there’s plenty of freed up tables in the dining room and wait times on Take Away orders should be pretty short .
Apparently, we can expect some welcomed rain over the weekend which will be good for the garden and perhaps for us at the restaurant as when You don’t go to the beach or park we tend to hear from more of You with an order, or to dine in.

Hello Folks
So much happening around this time of year it can be a bit hard to keep abreast of events and occurrences that we might be involved in.
There’s the School Holidays starting and possible breakaway plans ; Daylight Saving coming soon and with Sporting events on the calendar there’s the AFL Grand Final ; The NRL Final ; Bathurst for the car fanatics.
All in the next couple or so weeks .
With all this going on who’s got time to cook ? !!!

As we begin our Seventh year of being a restaurant business in the MacArthur area we’re filled with some trepidation over the existing difficult economic times that most of us are experiencing. Six years ago this week FORMOSA opened
its doors for the first time and we didn’t know if as a restaurant business we’d be supported by any orders or be able to survive going forward .
We had COVID restrictions and all that entailed .
But …. with YOU our incredible customers ; with your support ; your acceptance of our little restaurant and enthusiasm for our food we’re still here. !!

Hi Folks ,
Again , a rather short posting this week. With * FATHERS DAY *Weekend just a week or so away we’re putting out another suggestion to maybe think to book a table should you decide to ‘Dine In’ at FORMOSA. We’ve had quite few calls already but we still have tables available on the Friday and Saturday and just a few for the Sunday.

Hello Folks ,
For the past few years it is our busiest weekend of the year and it’s now fast approaching .
Yes, on Sunday 6th September it’s ,
FATHERS DAY
It seems that it has become a weekend event to celebrate our Dads and recognise their contributions to the family .
Our Dining Room will , we hope be buzzing with families and so we’d suggest that making a reservation would be prudent.

Hi folks ,
Bbbbbrrrrrrrr ….. Well colds nights , Eh ?
And one of the best meals I find as comfort food when it’s cold is a yummy bowl of soup. We have some great soups in our core range with our Laksas and Combination soups but last night at home we had Beef Noodle Soup which we offer sometimes as a ‘Special’.
