POUTINE. 🇨🇦🍟🧀
A simple Canadian dish that slowly became an obsession… because apparently in Australia, nobody uses the one ingredient that actually matters. 😤
For years searched for proper cheese curds. Not mozzarella. Not cheddar. CURDS.
Because real poutine isn’t just fries, gravy and melted cheese. It’s squeaky curds that hold their shape under hot gravy after a long night of questionable decisions. 🤝
So naturally… we made an entire short film about it. 🎥😂
From freezing Toronto winters to Happyfield pancakes, late-night bad decisions, awkward dates, and a random farmer from rural NSW… this might be our dumbest reel yet. Which probably makes it one of our favorites. 🥹

Never did we expect to receive a score in the Guide! 14/20 🥹
Before anyone gets upset about the score… it’s actually the very same score received years ago, only a few months before going on to win Cafe of the Year. 🫣🏆
Considering it’s quite rare for venues in our style/category to receive a score at all (and with 15 being a Chef’s Hat and 16 earning 2 Hats) we’re incredibly proud of our Happy Team.

Unfortunately, we’ve arrived at the shop this morning to find we have no gas, which means our kitchen isn’t operational (yes… our gas bills are paid 🫠).
At this stage, it doesn’t look like a quick fix, but we’re working to get this resolved as soon as possible.
We are currently contacting all bookings, but it’s likely we will be closed for today.
We’ll keep you updated if anything changes.
