As a certified organic farm that’s supports dozens of different crops, there are a huge number of challenges from planning and rotating crops, to managing pests and employing regenerative practices for his soil. To our incredible community,

With full hearts — and heavy ones too — we want to share that Good & Fugly Pty Ltd will be ceasing trading under our leadership, effective immediately.

This was not a decision made lightly. From the very first box we packed, our goal was clear: to fight food waste, support Aussie farmers, and prove that purpose-driven businesses could thrive by embracing what others overlooked — the wonky, the twisty, the “fugly” fruit and veg that still had so much to give.

We’re proud of what we built together with you. Every delivery, every saved apple, every advocacy initiative and social share helped spark a conversation about food waste in homes across the country.

But like many startups and small businesses, in an environment with extreme rising costs of operations and investment uncertainty, we faced challenges that became too great to overcome. Despite our best efforts to find solutions to continue, the time came to make the difficult decision to close this chapter.

And yet, we remain hopeful.

In a positive turn, OzHarvest Ventures— the social enterprise arm of food rescue heroes OzHarvest and Chef Matt Moran, a passionate champion of Aussie producers and supporting farmers — have stepped in to take over the Good & Fugly name, database and brand. While they are not taking on the business or our operations, they share our deep belief that this mission still matters, giving Good & Fugly a second chance to keep making impact.

We are genuinely grateful that the spirit of Good & Fugly and the brand we love so much, will live on — in new hands, with new leadership, and new ideas. We’ll be supporting them and cheering them on as they reimagine the next chapter, and we hope you will too.
