A rare chance to taste Henschke’s most iconic Single Vineyard wines side by side across back vintages and new releases.
An intimate evening at Beppi’s, this Henschke Single Vineyard Wine Dinner presents a rare back vintage vs new release tasting, offering a unique opportunity to explore the evolution of some of Australia’s most iconic wines. Each wine will be thoughtfully paired with a refined multi-course menu designed to complement and highlight its character, allowing the focus to remain on the wines themselves.
Guests will be guided through a curated selection of Henschke Single Vineyard expressions, presented side by side:
2008 vs 2025 Henschke Julius Riesling
2013 vs 2022 Henschke Cyril Cabernet Sauvignon
2013 vs 2022 Henschke Mount Edelstone Shiraz
2004 vs 2022 Henschke Hill of Grace Shiraz
From the purity and tension of Riesling through to the depth and structure of Cabernet and Shiraz, each pairing reveals the impact of time, site, and vintage. A rare tasting experience built around a curated selection of back vintages alongside current new releases, showcasing the evolution and depth of some of Australia’s most iconic Single Vineyard wines.
A true highlight of the night: a side-by-side pouring of two vintages of the legendary Henschke Hill of Grace — 2004 vs 2022 — offering a unique perspective on time, place, and craftsmanship in one of the country’s most revered wines.

Zio Gigi Polese (Uncle Gigi-brother of our founder Beppi Polese) certificate of merit from Allied command in the liberation of Italy September 1945. Gigi was a paratrooper in the Italian army and was dropped behind enemy lines in the battles with the Allied forces in the liberation of Italy.
“Lest we forget”. In memory of those who fought against tyranny & for the freedoms we have today. We will be open Saturday for Anzac Day and closed Monday 27th.

Penfolds Grange Bin 95, Vintage 2000, enjoyed in the cellar today.
After years of careful ageing, the wine revealed its depth: dark plum, mocha and warm spice layered with fine, structured tannins and a long, persistent finish.
There is a quiet confidence to a mature Grange. Powerful, yet composed. Generous, yet precise. A wine shaped by time.

Prepared just as our founder Beppi Polese did in the 1960s, this pan-fried Angus beef fillet is served with a classic Diane sauce of Worcestershire sauce, brandy, butter, garlic, and parsley, alongside black truffled potato purée.

Savoury and elegant, with layers of blackberry, plum, warm spice and fine, earthy tannins. A reminder of how beautifully St Henri balances richness and restraint.
2014 Penfolds Bin 389 Cab Shiraz
Often called the “Baby Grange” bold, structured and expressive. Notes of cassis, dark chocolate, dried herbs and oak spice, finishing long and confident.
2018 Rockford Basket Press Shiraz
Barossa warmth at its best: dense blackberry, raspberry, cocoa and gentle vanilla, wrapped in silken tannins. Layered, balanced and deeply comforting.
1998 Yalumba The Menzies
