Puntarelle is a vegetable, from Lazio region , in the chicory family, like chicory and radicchio.The shoots have a nutty, pleasantly bitter flavour. The flavour is between chicory, endive and fennel. We are shaving this over creamy risotto with pine nuts as our risotto special . Classic comfort food . Celebrating our 70th year of continuous service.

Risotto of the day - Puntarelle with toasted pine nuts and aged balsamic glaze. Puntarelle is a crunchy slightly bitter Italian chicory traditionally shaved and served raw. In this risotto it provides a wonderful contrast to the creamy texture of the risotto.

In 2006, Beppi and Norma Polese were honoured with the Maestri della Cucina Award in recognition of fifty years of welcoming generations of guests and their generous support of medical research.

To get to the Italian restaurant located at Yurong Street in Sydney, you can take a train or bus to Town Hall station and then walk towards Hyde Park.
