Of all the Insta posts over the years, this is the one that hits the hardest.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce we will be closing our doors. In all honesty, we have nothing left.
I have to take responsibility for being too optimistic, possibly a little naive. I assumed a simple amendment of hours wouldn’t be a problem for a 20 seat restaurant wanting a Friday and Saturday evening trade. Little did I know, we’d be in for a fight.
Operating a business like ours isn’t sustainable when you are restricted to lunch time trade only. We knew it may take time, 6 weeks we were told back in June 2021, we certainly didn’t expect to be finding ourselves here. We were clear with how long we had, financially to hold on,
and that time has come.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a community United to Provide a hub for residents and tourists alike. It was a simple dream, an addition to our amazing community.
We faced hurdles along the way, as all businesses do. Most of which we were able to overcome. This one, not so much.
It is a massive blow to us as a family. Emotionally, financially and mentally.. it’s taken a lot to make this decision.
After all this, we still wish luck to small business giving it a go out here. I believe there is room for all of us, and more! We just have to have the sense and for sight to do it together as a community.
Our amazing staff
Tod, Prabin, Jo, Maeve, Lucas, josh, Carly, Brooke, Jaz, Tina you made BAiE what it is.
Thank you for the huge support of our locals, family, friends and those who traveled to dine with us.
And to those who made our little vision a reality
and all the trades involved! Thank you!
It was short and sweet, but will stay with us forever.
