On Thursday 10 September, journey through the vineyards and flavours of Northern Italy without leaving Maroubra Beach.

Join us at barmilano for an intimate four-course dinner celebrating Friuli and Trentino, hosted by Mattia Bartolucci of Italian Wine Importers.

Mattia will personally guide guests through seven carefully selected wines, sharing the stories of the producers, the distinctive varietals and the landscapes behind every glass.

Our chefs have created a regional menu featuring frico friulano, capesante alla Triestina, risotto al Montasio, strangolapreti, goulash alla Trentina and strudel di mele—each thoughtfully paired to take you on a journey from the Alpine valleys of Trentino to the vineyards of Friuli.

Something blue, before “I do”. 💙

A room washed in powder blue. Rosé in the glasses, beautiful food on the table, thoughtful gifts passing from hand to hand—and generations of family and friends gathered around our beautiful bride-to-be, Alissa.

It was one of those wonderful celebrations where every detail felt considered, yet the afternoon itself felt completely effortless—the room alive with conversation, laughter and the unmistakable energy of people genuinely happy to be together.

Alissa’s family and extended family have been part of the barmilano family for some time, sharing so many meaningful occasions with us along the way. To once again be chosen for such a special chapter is an honour we never take for granted.

Great food and wine, warm and polished service, and a celebration filled with personality—this is the Fun Dining atmosphere we are so proud to create at barmilano.

At barmilano our illustrated graphics, found throughout our menus, backing boards and coasters, are inspired by the meeting of two places that define who we are — the rugged beauty of the Italian Alps and the relaxed coastline of Maroubra Beach.

Influenced by the expressive artwork of Italian ceramic artist Antonia Campi, each organic shape represents movement, nature and craftsmanship. Deep Verde reflects the richness of the alpine landscape. Terracotta echoes the warmth of Italian clay and tradition. Soft neutral tones bring balance, simplicity and calm.
