Some very exciting news for Stanley Street!
Something exciting is happening in our neighbourhood, and we want you to be part of it!
Earlier this year, our local business community came together with a shared vision for the future of Stanley Street. A more vibrant, welcoming and lively precinct where people can gather, dine, shop and connect.
We met with Lord Mayor Clover Moore and our local MP, Alex Greenwich, to propose a trial pedestrianisation of Stanley Street. We’re thrilled that they’ve embraced the vision and are working with the NSW State Government to help bring it to life. With a trial pedestrianisation planned for January 4th to February 5th 2027.
Imagine a little more room for the neighbourhood. European-inspired outdoor dining, leafy streets, local shops and cafés spilling onto the street, and a place where our community can come together.
While important work continues behind the scenes, we want to hear from YOU.
Before the plans progress further, we’re inviting our local community to come along, hear about the proposal, ask questions and share your ideas about what would make this work for everyone.
Representatives from the City of Sydney, NSW Government, Transport for Sydney as well as Alex Greenwich’s office will be attending.
This is a once in a generation chance to shape the future of our neighbourhood. Whether you’re a local resident, business owner, worker or regular visitor, your voice matters.
