We’ll be temporarily closed from tomorrow, Thursday 15 October.
Sadly, my dad is still unconscious in hospital, and our family dog has now been diagnosed with a brain tumour and is having frequent seizures. I’m returning to Japan to be with my family during this incredibly difficult time.
I’ll share our reopening date as soon as I can.
Thank you for your understanding, kind words and ongoing support. It means so much to me.

❤️🐾115th adoption from Jiji Rescue Cat Cafe! 🐾❤️
Megan has found her forever laps!
This sweet girl was loved by so many visitors. She loved sitting on laps and never wanted to leave, even when the session was over🙈
Now she’s living with a lovely couple as their only cat, with all the love and cuddles to herself.
So happy for you, Megan! Thank you to her new family for giving her a loving home☺️

We’re re-opening this Friday, 2 October.
My dad is still unconscious in ICU. I stayed in Japan as long as I could, supporting my mum, organising things and visiting him every day.
Thank you for your understanding, kind words and support, and to everyone who cared for the cats while I was away.
Looking forward to seeing you all 🤍

A quick update
My dad remains critically ill in ICU in Japan, so I need to stay here with my family. At this stage, I don’t know when I’ll be able to return to Sydney.
Jiji will remain closed until further notice. We’ll share another update as soon as we have a confirmed reopening date.
Our cats are being cared for by our trusted volunteers, and my own cats are with my partner and his mum.
Thank you to everyone supporting me, sending kind messages and keeping my dad in your thoughts. He’s fighting so hard🤍
THANK YOU.

🐾❤️114th Adoption from Jiji Rescue Cat Cafe❤️🐾
Mabel was rescued from an overcrowded home and arrived at Jiji very shy and unsure. With time, she slowly gained confidence and became a little superstar, winning the hearts of so many visitors.
She has now found her perfect quiet forever home with a lovely couple who understand her and are happy to give her all the patience she needs😌
Mabel still needs another dental surgery and, unexpectedly, a desexing surgery. Furever After Rescue urgently needs help covering these costs.
If you can spare even a few dollars, every little bit helps🙏
