Wander is now closed. Thankyou to all the guests who have dined & supported this little restaurant over the last couple of years.
My first restaurant has been an incredible challenge that has been a success beyond my wildest dreams & whilst it has been extremely hard, it has been equally as rewarding.
My evolution from a chef, to restauranteur, to wine importer, to FOH to now tableware maker has been incredibly fulfilling & whilst I will miss this restaurant + N16 like crazy it is now time for me to move on to my next challenge. Although Wander is now closed as a restaurant, I will continue to be in the space for the next few months making pottery & figuring out the logistics of moving everything. It’s winter back home so I’d be crazy to not enjoy this European summer and head back for Syd summer around Sept/Oct.
So you will still see me in Wander making lots of pottery and this weekend will the first of our “Farewell Sales”. This weekend from 11am - 3pm on 1st -2nd of June I will have all of the tableware + glassware that was in use at Wander for sale ( yes even the pavlova plates ) + a lot of new WAH large bowls and plates + lots of wine at costs price. The sale will be CASH ONLY and if you can’t make this week I plan on having a few over the summer with each one focusing on selling of tableware/kitchenware etc . After this post this Instagram will be going into hibernation with only a few stories here and there to let you know about any events I have coming up over the summer before I head back to Aus. So if you want to be like my mum and keep following what I am up to, please follow our and Insta as now that I’m a retired chef/ new potter that will be where I’m sharing most info.
Finally a very big thank you to all my suppliers, winemakers, employees, friends and family who have supported me through all the good times as well as the bad. Small business & running a restaurant alone can be quite an alienating and lonely experience however I rarely felt that way due to all your love and belief in me.

FINAL MENUS! Saturday is the final evening that Wander will be open for service & this week we are serving set menus full of some of my favourite dishes from the last 6 years. We are pretty much full Thursday & Friday night although frustratingly have had a few cancelations for our final night on Sat so if you want to join us one last time, you can make a reservation online. And finally, I will only be preparing alternate dishes for dietary requirements if they are in the booking… so please ask your guests.

Chicken liver parfait, mortadella & plum on a yukari prawn cracker. This is the last week Wander will be open as a restaurant so we have a menu of some of my favourite dishes over the past 6 years. We are looking pretty much fully booked all week with only a little bit of availability either early or late. If you want to join us one last time and are unable to make a reservation please email us at [email protected]. Also as it is our final week and serving a set menu I’m only able to accomodate limited dietary requirements ( veggie/ pescy ) and only with prior notice. So please check with your guests and let me know if you have anything. Also finally Wander’s 24 cancelation policy is non negotiable so please don’t ask. Looking forward to an amazing final week!

If you have walked past the restaurant in the past few months you may have seen a lot of bowls, plates and cups drying in the window. Since getting kiln & wheel in December I’ve been making all of my pieces at Wander on my days off. With Wander closing at the end of next week I am very excited to be able to concentrate on pottery and plan to remain in the Wander space over the summer as this is where my little studio is set up. The last few weeks I’ve been very busy getting a few kilns worth of pieces completed in time for our next market this Sunday! From 12 -3pm on Sunday we will have ceramics, wine and sandwiches for sale and as a little farewell present anyone who spends over £100 will get a free copy of the Wander at Home book! If you can’t make the sale some of my best pieces are available to be shipped across the UK in our online Wander at Home shop.
And just a reminder, the market is CASH ONLY!

Mortadella & Kim Chi Croque Madame. Our next market is this Sunday, 19th May from 12pm - 3pm & I’ve been very busy the last few weeks making 3 kiln’s worth of new pieces and as its our final weeks I will bringing back the OG sandwich the Mortadella & Kim Chi croque madame!
I first created this sandwich way back in March 2021 for Wander at Home whilst Wander was closed due the pandemic, with its recipie featured in the Wander at Home book too. As the restaurant is so busy the last 2 weeks I’ll only be making the one sandwich this market however there is a veggie option, and will only be taking preorders which you can do now via our Wander at Home online shop.
As well as ceramics & sandwiches, this market I’ll begin selling all of our wine list for 50% off list price - which is essentially cost price. And as a little farewell present anyone who spends over £100 will get a free copy of the Wander at Home book!

2 weeks left of Wander! For the next 2 weeks we are open Wed - Sat from 6pm + have a Farewell market on Sunday from 12-3pm!

Strawberry & elderflower frozen pavlova. Elderflower icecream, strawberry, strawberry olive oil, crisp & toasted meringue. The dessert to finish both of the menus for our final two weeks . This week we are open Wed - Sat from 6pm with a shorter 4 course menu on Wed & Thurs for £25 a person and a larger 7 course menu on Fri & Sat for £40!

There’s only 3 weeks left till we close and in our final 3 weeks we will be open for dinner Wed-Sat from 6pm with two different menus. On Wednesday & Thursday we will be serving a shorter 4 dish menu for £25 per person and on Friday & Saturday we will be serving a longer 7 dish menu for £40 per person. We can only accomodate limited dietary requirements with prior notice. The menus will change week to week as I recreate some of Wander’s best dishes over the last 7 years for the final time & we will be offering matching Wine Flights with bottles from some of my favourite winemakers who have been on our list over the years. P.s final service is Sat 25th May.
