This is truly heartbreaking, and honestly, it still doesn’t feel real.
With Mark being laid to rest, it’s been incredibly hard to accept that someone who brought so much life, energy, and warmth into our kitchen is no longer here.
Mark wasn’t just a part of the team—he was family. The laughs, the long shifts, and the genuine presence he carried are things we will never forget. Some losses just don’t feel possible to process, and this is one of them.
We’re going to miss you more than words can ever express, brother. You’ll always be a part of Taste Texture.

Brunch, but make it Umami. 🇯🇵🇰🇷🔥
Think bold, savory, and just the right amount of kick. 🦐✨ Hot pan + Fresh Prawns + Secret Chili sauce + Japanese Vibe = The ultimate weekend (and probably every day) mood. 🌶️🍳
We call this one the “Prawn Scramble” and it’s quickly becoming a favorite here 😉
The real question: Is it too early for garlic chili? (We say never).

We usually don’t take a break (except for a few public holidays 😉), but this year we’re doing things a little differently.

It’s been a big year full of great food, great people, and lots of support — so we’re taking a short, well-earned holiday break.

A huge thank you to our incredible team and to everyone who supported TasteTexture this year. You make it all worth it 💛

Public holiday or not, the pancakes are still fluffy, the crab’s still holy, the rib’s still 200gm and the coffee still hits hard. 💥

There’s a little 15% surcharge today — think of it as a public holiday high-five for our chefs and baristas ( the most beloved team)working their magic 😄❤️

To reach the breakfast & brunch restaurant and cafe located on Botany Road in Sydney, there are a couple of options available for transportation. If you prefer to take public transport, you can take the train and get off at Mascot Station. From the station, you can walk about 15-20 minutes south along Botany Road until you arrive at your destination. Alternatively, there is a bus stop located directly in front of the restaurant where you can take buses 309, 310, or M20.

If you prefer to drive and park your car, there are several parking options nearby. There is street parking available on Botany Road itself as well as on some of the side streets such as Queen Street and Gardeners Lane. Additionally, there is a paid parking lot located just south of the restaurant on Botany Road.
