This is honestly a hard post to write my friends....
I started Deliciously Ugly Cakes as a way to express my creative outlet through food, and somehow turned into something so special to me. Being trusted with your birthdays, weddings, christening, gender reveals, and any memories that cake was needed has meant more than I could ever put into words.
Every cake I made carried a piece of my heart.
My goal was to make a cake that actually tasted delicious and looked pretty or beautiful.
I proclaimed myself as a Frosting and Filling Therapist.
With the rising cost of living and ingredients, I completely understand that it’s becoming harder for families to splurge on something like a custom cakes. Please know I never take that personally — life comes first, always.
For now, my little hobby will be taking a step back.
This isn’t goodbye forever — just a pause while life settles a bit. My page and my love for creating won’t stop. I’ll still be here, sharing the occasional cake and holding onto what I’ve built.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thank you to every single person who supported me, who followed my social pages, who ordered from me, who shared my work and posts, who cheered me on through comments, texts or online posts. You allowed me to create edible art and feel so proud of something I built myself.
And while this chapter is slowing down, I truly believe it’s not the end of the story. I’ll be back — bigger, better, and even more creatively “uglier” than ever when the time is right ✨

The sweetest milestone for a first birthday is a cake smash.
You can see it got delightfully messy! Frosting-covered fingers, big curious eyes, and the happiest little giggles made every moment pure magic.
There’s something so special about watching your little one experience their very first taste of cake (and absolutely owning the chaos that comes with it 😄). These are the memories we’ll hold onto forever 💛
