It’s a very big weekend of footy at The Glebe. 🏉

With the new season comes a new menu, and plenty of new reasons to pull up a chair.

From our Snacks & Plates, Mussel Fazzoletti — handmade handkerchief pasta, Australian mussels, chive and lemon butter sauce.

We’d pair it with a glass of Ravensworth ‘Hilltops’ Fiano from the ACT. Fresh, textured and just the thing alongside those mussels and lemon butter. 🥂

Well, that’s an NRL wrap for this year, tipsters! 🏉
As the great Jack Gibson said, “Played hard, done fine.” Some handled the pressure at the top better than others — unfortunately not so for The Flying Scotsmen, who topped the table early in the season before tumbling to 2nd last as his beloved Tigers tumbled down the ladder too! 😂
And speaking of Scotsmen, last year’s winner FlyingRyan finished #48 this time around. But I can’t talk… finishing #68/76 🤦🏻‍♂️😂
So, here’s to this year’s champions:
🥇 1st – Zanytips: 141 points�🥈 2nd – FJ Raider: 139 points (solid tipping, 2nd two years in a row)�🥉 3rd – Shontae: 137 points (margin adjusted)
A massive thanks to everyone for the sportsmanlike banter throughout the season. We hope to have you all tipping with us again next year!

A little Father’s Day throwback from the family album. ❤️

Disneyland, early ’80s. Zelman and Daniel with their Mum, sister Alisa and Dad, Mike, on one of those family holidays you never forget.

When you’re a kid, you don’t really think about everything Dad did to make those days happen. You just remember how good they were.

Here’s to the Dads who took us places, showed us things and gave us plenty of great stories to look back on.

We’ll be celebrating all the Dads at The Glebe today with our Sunday Roast and a beer for Dad. We’re pretty well booked, but still have some room for walk-ins in the Beer Garden and Front Bar, so come on in.

Jacaranda season isn’t quite here yet, but we like a little purple glow in our Stables Dining Room all year round. 💜

Our bespoke Purple Rain jacaranda mural by Sydney artist Indigo Jo brings a splash of spring to the room no matter the season.

This week’s Sunday Roast features free-range chicken, bread sauce croquette, chicken jus and all the trimmings, alongside our regular roast beef and nut roast options.

Pair it with a glass of mulled wine and spend your Sunday afternoon in the Stables.

There are only a few spots left for our Father’s Day Sunday Roast, so if you’re planning on treating Dad, now’s the time to grab a table.

How do we get our pork baby back ribs so juicy and full of flavour?

We smoke ’em. 🔥💨

Here’s a little before and after from Jak, our in-house smoker. Our pork baby back ribs are hickory smoked low and slow, then served with house-made BBQ sauce, slaw and fries.

Our smoked meat specials change daily and are available until sold out. Ask at the bar to find out what’s smoking today.

Then Jak gets fired up and we do it all over again.

Sometimes you want to start the week on the lighter side. And our salads are certainly not to be skipped over.

Roast Parsnip — Israeli cous cous, radicchio, sage & chimichurri.

Roast Pumpkin & White Bean — roquette, hazelnuts, honey & fermented chilli dressing.

Shredded Kale & Brussels — pecorino, pistachio dukkha, date & pomegranate dressing.

Add tofu or chicken, and a serve of our house rosemary focaccia with roast garlic butter & parmesan on the side.

Even better on Tuesdays, when our salads are included in our 2-for-1 meal deal, alongside burgers, sandwiches, counter meals and rump steak.
