What people say
The Australian Heritage Hotel is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the best of Sydney's pub scene. Originally located on George Street, the hotel has a rich history dating back to 1824 when it first opened its doors for business. Today, the hotel remains one of the most well-preserved pubs in Sydney and a favorite among locals.
The building itself is a stunning example of Edwardian style architecture, with beautiful tiling and tap faucets that showcase quality and taste throughout. The metal awnings, etched signage, and saloon-style bar doors are just some of the pre-existing features that have been preserved over time.
As one of the few remaining historic pubs in Sydney, The Australian Heritage Hotel is listed on both the State Heritage register and the Conservation and Heritage Register for Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority. It's clear that this pub has played an important role in shaping Sydney's cultural heritage.
But what really sets The Australian Heritage Hotel apart is its impressive selection of over 130 Australian craft beers. This makes it a true local pub experience in The Rocks area, where visitors can sample some of the best brews from around Australia while enjoying the unique atmosphere and charm of this historic venue.
Overall, The Australian Heritage Hotel is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience Sydney's rich cultural heritage while enjoying some great beer with friends or family.
