Today, Friday May 8, is our first ; joining over 200 clubs in taking a stand against domestic violence. We’ve turned our venues purple & we’re donating 10% of all food & beverage sales to to help those fleeing domestic violence.

Domestic and family violence remains a serious issue in Australia, impacting 1 in 4 women and 1 in 14 men. In the Sutherland Shire alone, police recorded over 580 domestic violence related incidents in a single year. In the Illawarra more than 700 were recorded. Many more are not reported.

These numbers highlight the ongoing need for awareness, support and community action. As well as turning purple and donating 10% of our food & beverage sales to escabags, we also hosted a community morning tea at our Gymea Tradies to both connect local services and thank them for their dedication to helping those impacted by domestic violence.

Members and guests will notice a new donation box at Caringbah Reception for Escabags. Escabags aims to alleviate the immediate trauma of domestic abuse by providing free ‘Escape Bags’ in communities & connecting victims with resources to continue their journey towards survivorship. ‘Escape bags’ for individuals and families contain contact information for support services as well as essential items such as toiletries, nappies, pre-paid sim card, personal safety alarm and more. Donations of new shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, nappies, wipes, feminine hygiene products, deodorant, children’s teddy bears and more will be gratefully accepted at all Tradies venues until May 31. Escabags are free and are currently available from endota spa inside Tradies Gymea.

We hope that our efforts, and the efforts of over 200 clubs across NSW today, encourage respectful relationships in our community, show those experiencing family and domestic violence that they are not alone, encourage people to seek support and promote the message that everyone deserves to feel safe 💜

📣 Applications for the 2026 Tradies Sustainable Futures Grants are now OPEN!

Schools, ELCs and community organisations across Australia can apply for funding to help sustainability projects in the areas of Energy Efficiency, Nurturing Local Biodiversity and/or Waste Management.

Need some inspiration? Check out some of last year's recipients. You could replant local bushland like Corowa Public School, install solar panels like Little Oak Sanctuary or build a 'Plastics Shredder' as part of a plastics recycling project like St Columba's Catholic College!

Since 2014, the Tradies Sustainable Futures Grants have provided over $250,000 to help 106 sustainability projects across the Sutherland Shire, Illawarra, Mid North Coast and even as far as Western Australia. This year, we're proud to have another generous grant pool of $35,000 to help even more projects.

From small ventures to major initiatives, the possibilities are endless and applications are open until Friday July 3rd 🌏

The 2026 Caringbah Dawn Service will be taking place this Saturday 25th April at Caringbah War Memorial. The parade will form on the corner of the Kingsway and Denman Ave at 4am with the Dawn Service at 4:20am.

Tradies Caringbah will be open from 5am with Bacon & Eggs Rolls served from 6am. The club will be open as normal for the rest of the day.

To reach the restaurant and cafe at Banksia Road in Sydney via public transport, take the train to Caringbah Station and then take a bus or walk for about 15 minutes towards Banksia Road. Alternatively, you can take a taxi or ride-sharing service from the station.

Tradies Caringbah is a fantastic family-friendly club that offers a wonderful dining experience at its cafe/bistro. The Mediterranean Lamb Bowl is one of the standout dishes on their Nor East Winter menu, featuring tender grilled lamb backstrap with pickled cabbage, goats cheese, coconut brown rice, pomegranate, toasted almonds, beetroot hummus and leafy greens. It's a must-try for any foodie!

Tradies Caringbah also offers great deals throughout the week for its members. Wednesday is $15 Burger Night where you can enjoy any burger off the menu with chips for just $15.
