For the last eight months Steve and I have worked like mad to bring to life the potential we saw in The Gourmet Deli (even working behind the counter two weeks after giving birth). We’ve battled constant repairs and endless issues with refrigeration, and road blocks at every turn that have meant we’ve been left with no option but to close down. We’ve loved the chats and mutual love of a good sandwich and coffee - we’ll miss you!

There was a time when regardless of health and well-being employers expected their staff to show up to work. When our staff or their families are unwell, we expect them to be where they’re needed most - home. For a small team like ours it can mean we’re short staffed, so rather than open and give customers a bad experience we close for the day. We know that on those days you’ll support our colleagues and other small businesses in Springwood, we’re closed again today but open for this evening, and back to regular operating hours from tomorrow! See you soon!
