And so the time has come to say Goodbye.

As with all creations there comes a time where the baton must be passed on and a new chapter is started. Piccolina Hunters Hill will be under wonderful new ownership of a local young family.

We came with a vision to create simple, delicious food in the most beautiful corner of Hunters Hill. A place where friends and family could gather to celebrate life or just the everyday with us.

Since we opened our doors in September 2019, in this beautiful sandstone village we’ve made so many incredible memories and friendships. Our little idea grew and turned into so much more than we ever could have imagined.

To our insanely talented staff, past and present, we thank you, you lived and breathed our dream and bought it to life, it has been the greatest joy to work and grow alongside you all, and the hardest part will be leaving the family we have created. There is so much that happens behind the scenes to make an operation like Piccolina work so seamlessly – it's the beautiful people who work tirelessly and have a true love and passion for hospitality.

To our locals, regulars and out of town visitors, without whom this dream would have never grown into the success it was, we thank you. We are so proud of the place Piccolina is today, and to build Piccolina as a cornerstone in our Hunters Hill community has been the greatest privilege.

The time calls for a little more family time, and the opportunity for some new ideas to blossom.

We will still be around for some time and look forward to introducing you to Piccolina's lovely new owners over the next few weeks.

On March 8, La Festa della Donna, International Women’s Day, it is tradition that women are gifted bouquets of mimosa flowers in Italy. Mimosa flowers have been the Italian symbol of love and appreciation for women since the festival's beginnings in 1946.

The true beauty of a mimosa flower, is that a spray can be divided almost infinitely and still remain whole in form, representing the many parts of a woman that she shares so selflessly to others in her life. Mimosas are more than just a pretty face too, while they look delicate they are extremely resilient even in the harshest of environments, which is why they are often the first to bloom after bushfires. Yes, all characteristics of the incredible women who surround us everyday at Piccolina.
