To understand The Colonial British Indian Cuisine, you first need to understand where it came from. 🗺️🍛
The Colonial takes inspiration from the cuisine of the old Northern Frontier — stretching across areas that today include Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Northern India.
During the British colonial era, royal kitchens prepared rich, flavourful dishes for British officers serving across the region. That meeting of Indian culinary tradition and British influence helped shape what became known as British Indian cuisine.
That history is exactly what the name **The Colonial** represents. 🇬🇧🇮🇳✨

To reach Stanley Street in Darlinghurst, you can take public transport by catching a train or bus to Kings Cross Station. From there, you can walk towards Darlinghurst Road and turn right onto Liverpool Street. Walk straight ahead until you reach Stanley Street, where the restaurant is located.
If you are driving, take Oxford Street towards the city and turn left onto Riley Street. Follow this road until it intersects with Stanley Street where you can find street parking available or there are also nearby parking stations.
