Good morning, Macarthur! 🥐 These beauties are generally the FIRST things to disappear from the cabinet… and for good reason!
• That flakey, buttery crunch 🤤

• Somehow perfect with BOTH coffee or a choccy milk
• They make you feel fancy

Why does bakery bread smell SO good? 🍞 Fresh bread releases compounds while it bakes that literally trigger hunger and comfort in our brains. Which also explains why walking past a bakery suddenly makes you feel like you need six rolls and a sweet treat!

If bakery equipment could talk, this one would probably say, “I’ve seen things” 🤣🥧 Just a little reminder that awesome bakeries are about more than just recipes. They're early mornings, flour everywhere, and tools that have put in more work than most of us before 9 AM.

Why are scrolls so satisfying to pull apart? Turns out there’s a tiny bit of psychology behind it! Pulling apart layers and spirals creates little ritual behaviours that our brains actually enjoy… basically tiny dopamine hits one cinnamon-covered piece at a time 🤤
Also… they’re just really, really good.

Some days just call for a little comfort… and our Matchsticks definitely have a way of doing that 🍓 There’s actually science behind why desserts feel rewarding after hard days. Sugar releases dopamine, soft textures can feel comforting, and familiar flavours often connect us to good memories, slower moments and little “treat yourself” rituals.
Flakey pastry, fresh cream, jam and enough icing sugar to make life feel slightly more manageable for a few minutes. Sometimes that’s all you need!
