This Sunday, Jake Penrod live in the Saloon.
Straight out of Austin, Texas, he brings his h***y-tonk heart and old-school country sound to Shady Pines for one night only.
A true student of the greats, Jake’s music draws from the golden age of country, with a voice, guitar and songwriting style that feel right at home in the saloon. Expect twang, heartbreak, tall tales and plenty of good old-fashioned country music.
Pull up a stool, grab a wh***ey apple and settle in for a proper Texan night. Sunday 11th October, on stage from 7pm.

Dust off your rhinestones and get ready to raise a glass to the Queen of Country.
Sunday 25th of October, the Saloon pays tribute to the great Dolly Parton, with Taya Chani taking the stage alongside Matt Ross and the Southern Junction for a h***y-tonk celebration of Dolly’s greatest hits.
Expect big voices, bigger hair and all the Dolly classics, with a few special guests joining us along the way. Come dressed as your favourite Dolly with prizes for the best dressed. And because no rodeo is complete without a drink in hand, we’ll have $20 cocktail specials pouring all night.
Saddle up, shine bright and come ready to sing.

Dust off your boots and get ready for a whole lot of saloon rockin’, country lovin’ and live music at Shady Pines.
This October, the Shady stage welcomes a new monthly residency from Victor Valdes & The Mariachi Cowboys, bringing their mariachi-meets-country sound to 222 Clarence Street. Sundays turn up the heat with Double Bill Spinning Spurr Sundays, presented in partnership with Wild Turkey Live, alongside a rotating lineup of live country acts.
A super specially Dolly Parton night honouring the Queen of Country with detains coming soon… STAY TUNED.
Doors open from 5pm, with bands hitting the stage from 9pm on Thursdays and 7pm on Sundays.

Victor Valdez and his Mariachi Cowboys are riding into the Saloon.
Kickstarting his month long residency Thursday 8 October.
The tequila will be cold. The music will be loud. And for the first time in 15 years, there’ll be a mariachi band in the Pines.
Mariachi and country music come from the same dusty places. Ranches. Back roads. Men in big hats with songs to sing and nowhere particular to be.
Victor has played with Jimmy Barnes, Angus & Julia Stone and Los Lobos. Now he’s bringing the trumpets, strings and ranchera soul down to Shady Pines.
We’ve had h***y tonk, hoedowns and more late nights than we care to count. Never mariachi.
About damn time.

This October, in honour of Dolly Parton and her incredible work getting books into the hands of children through Imagination Library, well be collecting books at Shady Pines all month long.
Got a good book you’ve already read? Bring it down to the saloon and leave it with us. At the end of October, we’ll donate the entire haul to the Australian Literacy & Numeracy Foundation’s Share a Book program, helping get books into the hands of children who need them.
So dust off the bookshelf, grab a book you’d love someone else to discover, and bring it down to Shady.

Saddle up, Negroni month has officially riden into town.
Don’t miss our tribute to Camillo Negroni and the Eastwood Classic with ‘Fistful of Negronis’ this Thursday. Extension Chord will be boot-stompin’ live from 7pm and $20 Wild Turkey 101 specials all night.
And all month long, we’re slingin’ negroni specials including the Nuts Negroni with our very own house-made peanut liqueur.

Thursday 10 September, we're holding a wild west hoedown in honour of the legend of Count Camillo Negroni: Florentine cowboy and rumoured creator of the infamous cocktail. We'll be slingin' $20 Negronis all night, and Australia's best cowpunk outfit, The Switchblades will be playing live. Dust off your boots and come raise a glass to the count.

Tonight, our first ever band is back for another spin around the rodeo, Bryen's Bayou Boogie Boys. Sundays are Spinnin’ Spur Sundays, with live country music from 7pm and $20 Wild Turkey cocktails flowin’ all night. We'll see you at 122 Clarence St.

To get to Crown Street in Sydney, you can take a train to Central Station and then walk south for 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can take the bus to Surry Hills and walk west for 5 minutes. If you are driving, there is limited street parking available on Crown Street or there are several paid parking lots nearby.
