Dear Friends,
It's time for Young Lions Cafe to come to a close.
Firstly, we would like to show so much love and gratitude to everyone who has supported us these past 5 and half (amazing) years. Everyday, even in the tough times, was a dream come true. All cherished memories.
Thank you to our family and friends who have supported us and helped us from day one. Thank you for believing in us and fostering our young courage.
To our customers, you will be missed the most. You were the reason we enjoyed going to work every day to serve you coffee and good vibes before/during your work day. Thank you for your friendship.
To all who partnered with us in different ways to give to our community, means so much to work with you.
To all our Young Lions Staff, your names are written in our hearts and prayers. You were the heartbeat of Young Lions and of our little community in Blacktown. Thank you for your kindness, good will, and hearts of service. Thank you for pushing through the early cold mornings, the weather and construction conditions, and especially through days during covid lockdowns. You looked after the shop with so much care, happiness and love - and for that we are so grateful.
Our last days will be from Monday, June 26 to Thursday, June 29. Please come and say see you later!
We will be open this Saturday 11am - 2pm and Sunday 8am-1pm to serve coffee and hangout.
Until we meet again, we'll keep striving to do small things with great love ❤️ Raimie and Qwayne

Fam! Did you know that it's World Refugee Week? This week we highlight the strength and courage of the estimated 100 million people around the world who have had to flee their homes 🙏🏽
For many of us in the area, we've come far and wide to be here and call Western Sydney home.
In honour of our brothers and sisters who have left their own homes from across the seas, we would like to support the work of a local organisation working with refugees and people seeking asylum Western Sydney.

Over the weekend, the coffee shop was broken into and we had a number of our items stolen. If you see us using our phones to calculate your orders, you now know why ✌🏽
We are all safe and we are glad noone was hurt.
The team is a little shaken but after talking with one another (with prayers, humour and tears - our coping mechanisms), we all felt a sense of sadness.
We are sad that there's someone out there who felt that there was no other choice than to do this. That they don't feel they have the support or community where they could ask for help or be shown another way.
We have taken a few extra precautions now, with this upgraded camera installed in the shop. We want you to feel safe when you visit us too.
And so, a message - if for any reason you do feel you need help, please ask us. We are willing to offer what we can or point you in the direction of really solid people, businesses and services. We can't get through this pandemic alone. We can't get through life alone.
We believe kindness can overcome situations such as these. Before we restart our usual content, we want to leave with this.
St Mother Teresa said "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other."
Peace of mind. Peace of heart. Peace in community. May we remember that we belong to each other.
Thank you for all the prayers, love and support we have received and to Blacktown Police for assisting us.
