Cow and the Moon has just been crowned Champion Gelato at the 2026 Sydney Royal Cheese and Dairy Produce Show for our Olive Oil, Honey, Lemon & Thyme flavour!
A bold, savoury-sweet gelato that truly showcases balance, technique and flavour.
Out of 7 entries this year, we brought home:
🥇 4 GOLD
🥈 2 SILVER
🥉 1 BRONZE
We’re especially thrilled that our Olive Oil flavour received the highest score across the Gold medal winners. We love entering competitions…they keep us sharp, push us creatively, and deepen our appreciation for the incredible dairy producers and industry we’re proud to be part of.
A big thank you to our team and to everyone who continues to support what we do. We can’t wait for you to taste this one 🍦

What an incredibly special opening week it’s been at the New Sydney Fish Market.
This moment has been a long time coming for our family. The journey to get here has been full on, emotional, and at times challenging,but standing behind the counter here in this iconic building now feels like a huge milestone and a deeply proud step for us and our business.
To our staff ( old & new) who helped make this possible, our family and to those loyal customers who’ve come to visit us in these very first days , thank you from the bottom of our hearts!! Seeing so many familiar, smiling faces has been incredibly grounding and a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.
We hope you’re enjoying our gelato made fresh on site, along with some new offerings we’re so excited to share, including our granita and affogato bar.
We’re so proud to now have homes in Enmore, Wollongong, and the Sydney Fish Market, each one representing years of consistent hard work, family, and love poured into what we create.
