The result of 3 days of hard work...amazing puff pastry.
We made a batch of Beef Mince with Cheese and Bacon this morning. Looks good, right?
Reminder, we close every Tuesday and Wednesday. Although, tomorrow (Tuesday) we will be at the shop making, you guessed it, pastry (among other deliciousness)!

That was one very busy Anzac Day Long Weekend!
Thanks so much to our repeat customers and first-timers for visiting us. We acknowledge the long wait times and limited selection. Even with very little sleep, it was a challenge to make enough pies for everyone.
Our staff (front and kitchen) were run off their feet, and still did brilliantly. Thanks, guys!
We've received feedback that our dining area and toilets were not as clean as we'd normally have them. We'll do better next time.
Next time being the June Long Weekend.
Meanwhile, here's a reminder of our regular opening hours:
Thursday, Friday & Monday: 9am-5pm
Saturday & Sunday: 8am-5pm
Tuesday & Wednesday: Closed

During very busy periods, you'll likely wait in line then, once infront of the queue, find a smaller selection of our (amazing) pies.
The reason? All of our pies are handmade, in the shop, from the pastry to the filling, then baked fresh throughout the day. Never re-heated, ever.
We're always looking for ways to bring you a larger variety of pies, faster. This includes our sausage rolls and vegetable pasties.
The reality is, our handmade, artisan pies take time to make and bake. By a small team of foodies that enjoy sharing our love for delicious food with you.

We will be open over the Anzac Day Long Weekend:
Saturday, 25th & Sunday, 26th April: 8am-5pm

We will remember them.
We also thank all servicemen and servicewomen for their bravery and commitment to keeping us all safe.

Thank you...
Thank you to our customers for choosing to spend a portion of your Easter Long Weekend with us. We really do appreciate your patience and understanding, especially when our lines were long.
Thanks also for the wonderful reviews (written and verbal). One of the best things to see and hear after a marathon week of preparations.
To the best staff EVER.
Kai, Lucas, Joel, Oskar and Kye - the boys did such a great job serving, cooking hot chips and toasties, making coffee, milkshakes and smoothies, cleaning tables and the (very busy) toilets during service. Very well done!
Brooke and Brianna for making the BEST-looking pies and being so flexible with your time. No machines scooping up the filling and rolling out the base and puff - just 2 amazing, hard-working ladies.
Special mention to our sons Lucas and Kai for the hours of cleaning after closing time and hand slicing meat and many, many (many) kilograms of mushrooms (IYKYK)!
Next up...ANZAC Long Weekend!

Nutwood Farm along with other Mt. Irvine nut farmers will be joining us this Easter weekend!
Due to the road closure at Mt. Wilson, nut picking has sadly ended for the season. However, you can purchase freshly harvested chestnuts and walnuts direct from the Mt. Irvine nut farmers this weekend...here!
They will be set-up outside the shop with their chestnuts and walnuts, ready for you to take home and enjoy.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out with offers of support following the announcement that Mt Wilson Road is closing, ending the Mount Irvine nutpicking season this year.
The good news is we will be operating a Mt Irvine nut stall, selling freshly picked chestnuts and walnuts - direct from the Mt Irvine nut farms - on the grounds of Pie in the Sky at Kurrajong Heights this weekend.
We'll be at 1858 Bells Line of Road, Kurrajong Heights https://share.google/AywzrmDufbv34vFto from 10am to 2pm on Saturday 4 April and Sunday 5 April while the nuts last. A big thank you to Pie in the Sky for generously hosting us!
Our nuts are locally produced, freshly harvested and packaged in eco-friendly chemical-free cotton mesh bags. Drop in and pick up some for Easter gifts!

Handmade puff pastry on our Apple Pies. We use real butter. The result? Layers of crisp, airy pastry.
What about the filling? Also made in-house. Using Aussie apples with just the right amount of cinnamon.
Have you tried our Apple Pies?
