28 years of Pho Lam. 28 years of pho made with heart and soul.
What makes a great bowl of pho?
It all starts with the broth.
For us, the broth is the heart and soul of pho — slowly developed, deeply aromatic, rich with flavour and made with the kind of care you can taste in every spoonful.
Then comes the fresh rice noodles, beautifully sliced meats and that moment when everything comes together piping hot, straight from the kitchen.
The steam hits your face. The aroma draws you in. You take that first sip of broth… and suddenly, nothing else matters.
It’s simple. It’s comforting. It’s nostalgic.
After 28 years, we still believe nothing beats a steaming bowl of good old-fashioned pho.

Who am I?
I’m Peter — the second-generation owner of Pho Lam.
To me, Pho Lam isn’t just a restaurant.
It’s my family’s legacy.
I watched my parents build it from the ground up — through the good times, the tough times, and everything in between. After school, I’d come in and help out, learning the business and watching my parents pour their hearts into every bowl and every customer.
Eventually, I went my own way for more than 10 years.
But some things have a way of bringing you home.
I came back to support my parents, and somewhere along the way, I realised something…
This isn’t just a restaurant I came back to.
It’s a legacy I’m here to carry forward.
For me, Pho Lam has always been about two things:
Good food. Good service.
Not fancy. Not complicated. Just real food, genuine hospitality, and making people feel like they belong.
I’m proud of where we came from, proud of what my parents built, and even more excited about where the next chapter takes us.
I’m Peter.
Second generation.
And this is my family’s legacy.

We don’t claim to be the best, but we are proud to have served our community for over 27 years and to have stood the test of time. Thank you for all the love and support throughout this journey—we couldn’t have done it without you. It is truly an honour to receive this award from Fairfield Council, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to Mayor Frank for the recognition. Here’s to many more years ahead together.
