This breaks ny heart but we will do what we can to support Ollie and his family ❤️

We always knew that if Ollie’s cancer ever came back, the odds were going to be awful. But there is something completely unsettling about hearing an actual percentage spoken out loud, and hearing your child’s name in the same sentence.

Statistically, Ollie’s chance of survival is around 13–17%. Because Ollie’s relapse has happened so much later than expected, his team have adjusted that estimate to around 20%.

I don’t have the words for the heartache we’ve felt trying to process that, or how hard it is to continue to function while carrying that kind of pain.

We’re trying to take things one day at a time, to focus on Ollie as he is right now, but some days, it’s just really fu***ng hard.

At this event, you will get to make your own pizza, from rolling out the dough to topping it (and then eating it, decorating your own ice cream sundae and taking home 2 cupcakes you will get to decorate).

Today’s the day to put on your favourite sporting jersey and start the discussion with your loved ones about the importance of becoming an organ and tissue donor. Who knows how many lives you could change or save.
We were joined tonight by a special family who knows how much a transplant means. Amanda had her kidney transplant 10 years ago and her beautiful daughter Scarlett did a passion project for school to raise awareness of how important it is to have the discussion with your lived ones. We were also joined by Amanda's hubby Alan & son Max ❤️

Those that have followed us for a while may have seen posts I've shared with Scarlett before. She is a warrior. We will also be advocating for organ donation on Friday and supporting Jersey Day ❤️

On Monday I had the pleasure of meeting an inspiring young resident, Scarlett, who shared with me her passion project for school.

Scarlett’s project focuses on raising awareness of organ donation and supporting Jersey Day. She is encouraging more people to learn about organ donation and the life-changing difference it can make for families.

Scarlett’s inspiration comes from her own family’s experience, with her mum receiving a kidney transplant in 2016.

It was wonderful to hear Scarlett speak so confidently about a cause that means so much to her and to see her determination to make a positive impact in our community. Young people like Scarlett remind us that age is no barrier to making a difference.

👏Thank you, Scarlett, for sharing your story and for your commitment to raising awareness of such an important issue.

I encourage everyone to get behind Jersey Day this Friday, wear your favourite jersey, start a conversation about organ donation. Together, we can raise awareness and give hope to families whose lives can be changed by the gift of donation.

Calling other small businesses out there to see what EFTPOS platforms you are using and associated fees. Obviously my social media feeds are now full of different ads but never know whats legit these days and who gives good service so first hand accounts are always good to hear.

We are trialling a 5% discount for cash before the surcharge ban comes into play.
If ordering online and paying cash, discount code is CASH.

Going off last months transactions, we had $1164.76 in CC charges both online and in store.

Remember how the government said card interchange fees will drop...received my email from Tyro on Friday. We currently get charged 1.5% (which we surcharge). Their fee is dropping down to a whopping 1.46% and for card transactions over the phone we will be charged an additional 0.15% (never charged extra before). We also need to start paying for paper rolls $38.50 a box (last about 1-2 months). Previously no charge and we also were able to use them in our online ordering printer.

Still waiting to hear from Order Up to see what their charges will be.

I will be making enquiries with other companies and banks to ensure we get the best deal, but if we can reduce card charges, it means we can keep our prices as low as possible.

How awesome is Ollie Bear & our cancer journey new Drawing Challenge book. Gave the staff 5 mins out of work tonight and they all had a bit of fun and as a reward I will give them all one of Ollie's A5 notebooks.
Colouring books and Drawing Game is $15 and the A5 notebooks are $10. All funds go to Ollie to help him and his family with his cancer battle ❤️
