16 years of Seven Lanterns…and in light of successful launch of Virgin Ninjas, I think it’s time for something different for me. Just 1 group of 8 guests a night, 6 courses that I will cook and serve. And yes — I’ll probably drink your precious reds, talk a bit too much and fail to curb my profanity. But then that's just me... For now Wed & Thur only and MUST book by calling me on 0402 225 102. The current degustation menu is on our homepage. And don't even think about saying any s***t about me in this pic, it's the stupid A.I

So you wanna know where the name ‘Virgin Ninjas’ came from. The official version is; "Bold and Pure ingredients cooked with Ninja precision" but you all know that’s bu****it as it’s not really my style. The truth is, I call my chefs with Japanese cuisine background, 'Ninjas', with their black chef’s uniform, carrying their own blades and s**t. But... I don’t think they get much action…. So Virgin Ninjas. Obviously I'm not qualified to work there!

I’ve been very lazy and apathetic but I’m back! Back with a new restaurant in Kareela shopping village. I reunited the old crew, Ethan, Sang and my long time right-hand man, Jason Ma, now my partner. And I unleashed them! All new menus by Jason with Issy at the front house. I won’t be too involved, I just want the money. So go visit “Virgin Ninjas” and give’em hell!!

Yes, I had a heart attack! The sins of my past have finally caught up with me in Manila Philippines last August. It was s’posed to be a relaxing working holiday, setting up mates’ business but….. it became a series of fc***ng nightmares. Firstly, on the way to the hospital I experienced what it’s like being a racing car passenger with a driver trying not to s**t his pants. Then I learned screaming “More Morphine!” don’t mean s**t to the doctors. But real nightmare began in operating room when someone started to play with my dingling AND my BALLS. I also vaguely remember hearing what sounded awfully like a fc***ng d***o. In morphine induced mind, I remember thinking I’m gonna die so they are sending me off with a happy ending FFS. But the doctor must’ve read my mind and explained they need to shave "the bush" as they may insert STENTs thru the groin area, so don’t worry. Oh yes I’m fc***ng worried alright, what if the nurse is a DUDE! I’m in touch with my feminine side but NOT THAT MUCH! Later, I did ask my mates but the pricks just smiled and said they couldn’t remember.
I still wake up in the middle of the night with a cold sweat. No, it’s not about some dude nurse playing with my dingling (and balls) but in my nightmare, I’m actually fc***ng enjoying it! I now shave all the time…. just in case

I don’t like mother’s day coz I still miss my dad. And last night…this old dude…. I told him already few times that his daughters paid the bill and tipped me well. But while his family was busy saying goodbyes to each other, the old man grabs my hand while barely standing on his walking stick, puts this twice folded $20 bill into my hand and closes it into a tight fist as if to say I’m not allow to refuse it. The old man says he really enjoyed the meal, that he had a great time. That’s kind of stuff that my dad would do with the weekly 50 bucks he got from mum. From his warm gaze I could tell he meant every word he said. I kept that $20 bill. It was the most fc***ng meaningful money I got this year. F**k I miss my dad…
