Ever wondered what all those Filipino breakfast names mean? 🤔
The answer is actually much simpler than most people think.
SiLog = Sinangag (garlic fried rice) + Itlog (egg).
Then we simply add the name of the meat:
Tapsilog = Beef Tapa + Silog
Longsilog = Pork Longganisa + Silog
Tosilog = Chicken Tocino + Silog
Once you learn the formula, you'll be able to decode almost any Filipino breakfast!
