I asked Chat GPT to create an image of an old valuable book about a man and I titled the book ‘Seven Decades of Doug’. This is the image it created and then the cake I made to match. To complete the AI experience. I had AI remove my background and give it the same look like the original image (the cake is not altered). I think it’s a pretty acceptable cake copy of the AI image. A lot of images of amazing cakes you see online these days are AI generated. It was fun to generate one myself and recreate it.

Beautiful simple elegant slab cake for a wedding last weekend. It needed to be transported a few hours so this was a good choice of shape for heading up the bumpy M1. You don’t realised how bad that road is until you’re travelling with a cake in the back that you don’t want to break. I’ve driven up that freeway too many times with my hands gripped to the steering wheel and my teeth clenched way to hard in fret that my cake will break on every lump bump and hole that freeway has. This arrived safely and was apparently enjoyed by all.

Happy 50th birthday Taryn. A loyal customer and obviously a very savvy saver. This pending flight was all paid in points. I must get some tips.

I am in love with this cake. Even if I have to say so myself with a little bit of chest puffed out and my chin held high. No humbleness here today.

Well!!! It’s been a year. Cakes have been a big part of it but something you might not all know is that I’ve also been studying this year to change careers. Im now a fully fledged Teachers Aid. Something that is close to my heart having a child that benefits from such people every day. Next year I will be working 4 days a week and only taking limited orders, so your heart desires an allsortscakessydney cake then I encourage you to book in early as I’ll be limited to how many cakes I can take on each week. I still love my caking profession so I won’t be giving it away. How could I say goodbye to you all. No chance. But just get in early and I’ll see you all in 2026!

How incredibly sweet are raspberries at the moment…!
This cake was for an 80th birthday. The classic Lambeth piped buttercream was sure to have its recipient re-living cakes of the past.
