Of late there has been a few price rises from most of my Suppliers, which is due in part to the disruption in fuel supply & mainly price rises in diesel fuel.
There will be, unfortunately a few price rises you will see at Luscious over the coming weeks, starting with Coffee, Tea & hand made Beverages.
The last Coffee price increase I did not pass on, however with price rises in Milk & now disposable Cups & Lids, this is now unavoidable (reluctantly).

It has been a while since there has been a Snickerdoodle on the menu! And this isn't just any old Snickerdoodle!
Chai Spice Snickerdoodle for you!
Crunchy on the outside & kind of snoftly in the middle!
And you can pair one (or two) with a pot of our fab Sticky Chai Tea!

It is well & truly the season for the favourite Apple! Pink Lady Apples are now on the shelves.
Originally an Australian invention, Pink Lady Apples are begun to be harvested in late April & all through May & this season they are proving to be spectacular!

A 45th Birthday for Elizabeth with a double layer Lemon Meringue Love Cake.

Woo-hoo! The Luscious homage to Reconciliation Week for 2026 was a huge success!
And although the focus was well & truly on Indigenous ingredients & supporting Indigenous business...this is the status quo here at Luscious, not just for one week a year!
And why is this so important? Self determination for Indigenous people. Leveling the playing field for equality & paving the way to a more honest approach to acknowledging the truth of our shared history. And hopefully building a future together.

These may just be the winner of the "not very good looking" Cookie category...but my oh my - they taste devine!
Wattleseed, Praline & Choc Chip Cowboy Cookies!
Toasted Coconut, Oats & hand made Praline chunks, plus Wattleseed & Choc Chips. Finished with a little Red Gum Smoked Salt.
Chewy in the middle & a little crunchy on the edges! Should we call them Drover Cookies instead?!

There are so many ways to incorporate Indigenous ingredients into every day!
For example...River Mint is stupendous in its flavour, with strong Minty-Earthy notes! And it thrives with a little tlc & a little drinky (especially loves the rain).
And if you've never tried it - you are missing out! Even on plain old Vanilla Ice Cream it is something to behold!
River Mint will be featuring on the menu too this week!

Now one of the toughest decisions to make when planning a Reconciliation Week menu is which of the thousands of Indigenous ingredients I could use!
But I had seen these American 'Cowboy Cookies' on line ages ago & I thought they sounded intriguing! What about with an Indigenous twist?!
Utilising toasty Wattleseed from and hand made Praline, Choc Chips, Oats & toasted Coconut...
So essentially these Cookies will be a "superfood" drawing on the properties from the Wattleseed which is high in protein, dietary fibre, potassium, iron, zinc & calcium! Not to mention a taste sensation with all the toasty, Chocolatey notes!

Next week has been on my mind for a long time! Its is a very big week for the Luscious calendar & a very big week for the Aboriginal & Torres Straight Islander Peoples.
Tuesday 26th is not only National Sorry Day, it is also the anniversary of the Uluru Statement from the Heart. Then Wednesday 27th is the anniversary of the 1967 Referendum & it kicks off Reconciliation Week!
And one of the best ways that I know how to facilitate Reconciliation is through food! The ties between food & culture are everything! And it is a really yummy way to kick off your education!
This incoming week there are many bookings for who are always in the education sphere teaching & sharing!
Then next Friday & Saturday the menu here at Luscious will feature some fabulous yum-yums made utilising Indigenous ingredients! Some old favourites & hopefully, a couple of new treats too!
