A glimpse into Jonah's history – Counting down to 100 years in 1929.
One of the treasures we hold most dearly is a collection of original photographs of Jonah's dating back to 1929. Remarkably, these images exist thanks to the foresight of the owner's son-in-law, an aerial photographer who captured the property while working above Sydney's coastline.
From a raw clifftop to a relaxed ocean suburb, these rare photographs provide a fascinating window into the early days of Jonah's and the breathtaking beauty of Whale Beach that continues to captivate visitors today.
Over the decades, Jonah's has welcomed guests from all walks of life, including some of Australia's most recognised names. Among them is Nicole Kidman, whose patronage we have been honoured to enjoy over the years.
For many high-profile guests, privacy and tranquillity are invaluable. Jonah's has long offered a secluded coastal sanctuary where celebrities and discerning travellers alike can relax away from the spotlight while enjoying exceptional hospitality.
