Funding from DYRSL has supported Women & Children First to deliver the Northern Beaches Little Links program, assisting children in crisis accommodation, transitional housing and outreach services.
Through child therapy, learning support, sensory resources, family connection and culturally informed care, the program helps children recover from domestic and family violence, ensuring they feel safe, supported and able to heal and thrive.

Big milestones deserve a proper celebration!
After years of hard work and dedication, Josh and Kai have officially completed their Commercial Cookery Certificate III at TAFE NSW. This significant milestone reflects the passion and commitment consistently demonstrated throughout their training.
Phoebe, DYRSL’s People & Culture Coordinator, has also recently completed a Certificate IV in Human Resource Management through TAFE NSW. Her commitment to professional development continues to strengthen the contribution made in supporting the club’s people strategy and wider team.
These achievements are a wonderful reflection of the talent, commitment and growth within the DYRSL team. Congratulations Josh, Kai and Phoebe!

With the support of DYRSL, The Women's Resilience Centre delivers a 12-month recovery pathway for 25 Northern Beaches women impacted by domestic abuse and trauma.
The program combines employment readiness training with personalised mentoring to rebuild confidence, skills, and independence. Using a supportive, holistic approach, participants are empowered to create safer, more stable futures.

Ten days ago, thousands gathered in silence and solidarity at the 2026 DYRSL Anzac Day Dawn Service.
Dee Why Beach became a place of quiet tribute, as the community honoured the service, sacrifice and enduring legacy of those who have served, those who continue to serve, and their families.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in this shared moment of remembrance and respect.

May is Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month.
DYRSL is committed to strengthening the community through impactful support, contributing over $220,000 toward domestic and family violence initiatives this year.
These contributions have supported a range of organisations, including The Women's Resilience Centre, Women & Children First, H3O Church, Lighthouse for the community and Zonta Club of Northern Beaches Inc.
Throughout the month, we’ll be sharing more about the incredible work these organisations do and how our community can continue to support those in need.

The STARTTS Tibetan Youth Sports and Wellbeing Program empowers young people from refugee backgrounds within the Dee Why community through soccer, yoga, and wellbeing workshops. Focused on building confidence, teamwork, and leadership, the program delivers structured training and activities.

Congratulations to the Northern Sydney Rebels Gridiron Club Women’s Flag Football team on winning the NSW State Championship!
After a strong season, the team secured the title with a victory over the UTS Gators.
DYRSL funding assisted the club to purchase protective gear, training equipment and uniforms, supporting players of all levels and strengthening community sport.
