6 YEARS OF HOUSE - 2 YEARS OF BLOOM

Part 2 - continues from previous Post -

When everything seemed to get back to normal in 2021,I signed the lease for the space of Bloom, a week later, there we were in Lockdown Again.
Everyone was so afraid of the present time, and we were looking to build for the future.

Bloom Venue, was a condemned building, close and in disuse for over 20years, Kellett square, in front, was not exactly a safe place at nights.
With a special help of a great man, whom I owe a lot to, the building was restored and brought back to life.

Then we took a lot of time, to think, design and build every single corner of the venue, once again was House Made. We painted all the walls, designed the room, the logo, the seats, we built the tables, the coffee machine area, all the pending lights and shelves, and here I owe a special thanks, for that special woman and her eye for beauty, I wouldn't have never been able to do this without her, but now I know I can.

So here we are now, 2 years of Bloom went by so fast and I really feel this beautiful story is yet to finish.

I give away all myself to be able to open every week,
And to keep my staff motivated, happy and conscious,
I lose sleep and serenity over each complaint but I absolutely love it and that's the only reason I try to keep on doing it.

for being a huge part of this special Journey,
To each person that orders a Coffee or a Vino,
To each of you who knows what's behind
My Hands Made Pastas and Pizzas.
To each of you who take time to tell me how good the food was, or ask me a suggestion on wine.
To everyone who comes every week, look beautiful and sit down and work or meet people at Bloom,
Thanks for each one of you who like to party at ours, that organise long tables, do special requests for their meals, to each of you who played or joined as guests during the Jazz Nights.

6 YEARS OF HOUSE - 2 YEARS OF BLOOM

The End of the year, is always time for big Celebrations,

It's a wonderful time of the year, because of it!

House Is no exception, as our Birthday is also on December

We can't wait to kickstart this Festive Season with a Special Party on the 16th, with live music, Happy Hour all night and plenty more surprises! We hope you can make it!

6 years Birthday Celebration and I can't help but reminisce when we started back in 2017. I was 27 and Lots have changed since then.

When I took over 62-64 Kellett street, 2011, the whole area was very different compared to these days, plenty of commercial spaces were available for lease, to trade with reduced old club liquor licenses as Kings Cross had just started rebranding in Potts Point.

As a result of the LockOut Laws which were introduced, and forced a lot of venues to shut off as restrictions were implemented to incapacitate their operations. No more large crowds going to party, outside of Kings Cross Stations. no more traffic in the streets.

When I visited the venue for the first time,

I felt those 2 Victorian Houses were beautiful and they would have made the perfect restaurant, I had previously cooked in the area, and I knew that, other than the partygoers, there were a large presence of locals, who wanted to eat good produces on white tablecloths.

What followed was simply a dream, dish after dish, Negroni after Negroni, all the support from a lot of beautiful people who were dining at ours, weeks in and weeks out. All the fresh pasta I stretched with my hands and all the mistakes and lessons learned.

Can't avoid to mention the symbiosis we created with , Ken and Huong, were growing the best organic vegetables for us to serve them at your table. Using their products was one of the best gifts I have ever received in my life.

Then came Covid, the day of my 30th Birthday, News came out, we were going in Lockdown,

Thought I Would lose all I worked on, but in a way or another we went through 2020.
