To get to Northumberland Street in Sydney by public transport, you can take a bus or train to Wynyard station. From there, walk north along York St and turn left onto Margaret St. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Clarence St and then turn right. After that, take your first left onto Kent St and continue straight until you reach Northumberland St.
If driving, your best bet is to come from the north via the Harbour Bridge and then turn left onto Alfred St at Circular Quay. Continue on this road as it turns into Loftus St and then into Lower Fort St. Take a right onto Windmill St, which will eventually become Cumberland St. Turn left at the intersection with York St and then right at Margaret St. From there, follow the same directions as above.
Parking options in the area include street parking (metered during business hours) or nearby car parks such as Wilson Parking at 71 York St or Secure Parking on Kent Street.
