Steak Frites. Banana Pudding. A full restaurant. We’ll call that a hit!
Our latest Sneaky Mid Week Set Menu launched last week, and you’ve kept us busy every midweek service since.
Adding Steak Frites and our Banana Pudding to the 3 courses for $59 line-up, clearly was a hit.
The only catch?
It’s a short but delicious chapter. This menu finishes in late November when our festive set menu arrives.
Don’t wait for the farewell post to wish you’d booked.

WHEN WE ARE NOT AT JENSENS….
You’ll find us pulling up a chair somewhere else in the Shire.
From our morning coffee to date night, here’s where we love dining and supporting local business in our home town.
HAM CRONULLA
A day off starts properly with coffee and breakfast at HAM. We love the deli plate, but our regular off-menu request is an open melt with cheese, ham and avo. Try it. You can thank us later.
Ham Cronulla
DUKES PROVIDORE
Their after-hours European-inspired w**e bar and restaurant is a date-night favourite. Steak, a Negroni and a glass of Chablis. Our perfect trio
Duke’s Providore
HOMER TOGUE TAVERNA
Flatbreads, gyros, dips and Mario’s Mules. Exactly what we feel like when we’re having a casual catch up friends. Order a spread and settle in.
HOMER
PINOS AL MARE
Even chefs have nights when they leave the cooking to someone else. Homemade pasta and lasagne from Pinos is our kind of takeaway, especially when it arrives at our Cronulla door in around 15 minutes. Tastes like you are dining in.
Pino’s Vino e Cucina al Mare
LOAF CRONULLA
When there’s no time to sit down, there’s always time for a good sandwich. A Hambo for myself and a Chicken Snitty for Carl. We’ve got our order down pat.
LOAF Sandwiches
MEADOW MUSIC ROOM
When our Sunday service finishes, sometimes it’s our turn for a little fun. A margarita at Meadow… and perhaps a tequila shot to finish.

NOTARAS SEAFOOD
First time grandparents, our Tuesdays consist of fish and chips in the park.
With Notaras Seafood now opposite Dunningham Park, it’s easy to grab takeaway, find a spot on the grass and enjoy lunch together.
And the fish and chips? They’ve got one-year-old Atlas’s tick of approval, too.

WANDA WOOLOOWARE
This little 24-seat modern Australian restaurant in Woolooware has caught our attention with its rotating regional menu. We haven’t been yet, but it’s next on our list.

SKULL ISLAND TIGER PRAWNS
Wild caught in the remote waters of Australia’s Gulf of Carpentaria, these tiger prawns grow in a region of expansive seagrass beds, strong tides and natural food.
And the reward? Plump, succulent flesh, a beautiful firm bite and rich shellfish flavour.
Selected for their premium size and quality, they’re caught, packed and snap frozen at sea to preserve what makes them so special.
Their catching season runs from August to November, with seasonal closures helping protect future stocks.
Exceptional Australian produce.

YES, WE REALLY DID SPEND MONTHS CHOOSING SQUID.
Finding the right squid, is harder than you think.
Months of searching. Several suppliers. Dozens of options. And plenty of taste tests.
We’ve compared brands, species, origins and cuts to find the squid we’re proud to serve at Jensens. Flavour, texture, tenderness every detail mattered.
And finally… we think we’ve nailed it.
Meet our salted squid with coconut chilli crunch, kaffir lime & coconut aioli, and lime oil.
Thank you for your patience while we kept tasting, tweaking and asking, “Can we make this better?”, we think it was worth it.

OUR BIGGEST FLEX 💪
At Jensens, chefs jump on the dishes, floor staff help beyond their own section, bar staff lend a hand and managers clear tables alongside everyone else.
From the kitchen to the floor, no title makes you too important to help. Every role matters, and every guest’s experience depends on us working together.
As owners, we’re part of that too. Aprons on, sleeves up, wherever we’re needed.
That’s something we’re proud to put our Jensens name on

What people say
Jensens Restaurant, located on Freya Street in Sydney, is a must-visit for anyone looking for an exceptional Australian dining experience. Owned by Carl Jensen, who also owns the acclaimed restaurant Summer Salt, Jensens offers a menu that is both delicious and diverse.
One of the standout features of Australian restaurants is their ability to incorporate local ingredients into their dishes. Jensens does this exceptionally well with their truffle specials, which are available during certain times of the year. The Truffle Baked Brie entree special is a must-try for any truffle lover - triple cream brie stuffed with shaved black truffles and prosciutto with port caramel and freshly shaved Manjimup black truffles!
But it's not just about the specials at Jensens - their regular menu items are equally impressive. The Black Pepper Crusted Beef Carpaccio entree is a recent addition to the menu and has quickly become a customer favorite. It's served with whipped fetta, caper and parsley dressing, pickled onion, and watercress.
To top it all off, Jensens also offers live music on certain days of the week. Scot Finnie 'The Piano Man' plays every Sunday from 1pm till 5pm, making for a perfect lazy lunch spot.
Overall, Jensens Restaurant is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for an exceptional Australian dining experience. With delicious food, creative cocktails, and live music in a cozy atmosphere - what more could you ask for?
