This is me, 12 years ago, proudly holding a plaque for my prize-winning pasty. 🏆
I was visiting family in Cornwall, UK when my cousins entered me into a charity pasty competition.
“You’re a chef. No problem.”
Small issue. I’d never made a pasty in my life.
And if you know Cornwall, you’ll know pasties are serious business.
Completely out of my comfort zone. Under pressure to prove the chef credentials.
So I went for it.
First pasty. Fashion category winner.
The lesson?
When something a little left-field comes your way, give it a go.
You might learn something.
You might surprise yourself.
You might even win a pasty competition 🤣
