📣 Truth Post
Since the new card surcharge rules we’ve had a few people ask if we’ll be putting our prices up.
Honestly? We’re still figuring that bit out.
We know costs are part of running a business. But removing the surcharge doesn’t remove the cost of processing card payments it simply means businesses now need to factor that cost in somewhere else. And for many, this means they have had to increase their prices.
Great initiative. Nothing says “support small business” quite like making small businesses absorb yet another unavoidable cost. 😂
So for now till we figure it out, we’ve started a savings jar. Donations not required.
Small business owners… you get it. 😂

One of the first cafés to call Oran Park home, we’ve been here for 8 years.
Two chefs. Two family men. Ex-Otto. Making good food, serving good coffee and doing things our own way.
We’re incredibly lucky to have such a loyal bunch of locals behind us. But apparently, plenty of you still don’t know we’re here. 😂

School holidays = extra staff 😂
We find something pretty valuable about letting your kids see what you actually do.
They get to understand a little more about what goes into the work you do every day and why that matters.
And for us, maybe learn that cafés don’t magically run themselves 😂 and a little about the value of hard work.
So if you can, maybe give your kids a little glimpse into your working world these school holidays.
