The weekend plan writes itself... walk the sculptures in the morning, keep going along the coast, and land at CWR for lunch. Feed Me is $79pp, and on weekends there's a bottle for every two of you. You've earned it (that walk has hills)

Six bottles! That's our whole allocation of the new Tolpuddle Chardonnay, and the same again of the Pinot Noir. Tolpuddle is the Coal River Valley vineyard the Shaw + Smith team bought on first sight 15 years ago, and the 2025s have just landed on our list. First in, first poured 🍷

Field trip! Recently, we headed to Pizzini in Victoria's King Valley, where Italian families planted Italian grapes after the war, and where some of Australia's best Sangiovese and Nebbiolo now come from. We tasted far more than was strictly necessary (on your behalf) 🍷
Coming to our list soon: the Il Soffio Prosecco, the Rubacuori Sangiovese and the Nebbiolo trio, from the easy-drinking La Volpe to the Coronamento, which holds its own against most Barolo.

Sculpture by the Sea opens today, which is a very good reason to enjoy the coastal walk. Take in the art from Bondi to Tamarama, keep heading south past Bronte and Clovelly, and finish where any good walk should: at a table in Coogee 🍷
