As the year comes to a close, we want to thank our incredible community for the support and kindness you’ve shown us over the past weeks.
After the fire on the roof on Tuesday 23rd, we’re proud and grateful to say that The Dove & Olive is open and operational again. Your encouragement has meant more to us than words can say, and it’s reminded us just how special this community truly is.
As symbols of peace, hope, and new beginnings, the dove and olive feel especially meaningful as we start a fresh chapter. We’ll be closed on New Year’s Day to rest and reset and we’ll be back on the 2nd of January, ready for all that lies ahead.
Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, and hopeful New Year!
Thank you for standing with us, and here’s to new beginnings and brighter days ahead.

For Melbourne Cup, still working out where in Surry Hills to go, for a social catch up with friends. Why not come to the Dove and Olive, we have a $40 nibbles package that includes a ‘drink on arrival’upstairs, and plenty of TVs with casual seating downstairs.  Hope to see you next Tuesday.

Starting next week, the Dove and Olive Hotel is officially reopening on Mondays! Come and kick off your week with us — we’ll be pouring your favourite delicious craft beers from 4PM to 9PM.
Whether you're craving a post-work pint or just looking to ease into the week with good vibes and even better brews, a vodka lime soda 🧊 or a Martini 🍸 we’ve got you covered. Expect all the great hospitality you love, plus plenty of cold ones on tap. 🍺✨
Our happy hour will run from 4PM-7PM with a wide range of drinks, including house spirits!

This year, we’re doing something different, with a more social, let your hair down, mingle and chat event. Upstairs we will have a $40 package, which gives you a complimentary drink on arrival, and roaming canapés served from 1 pm. Your own bar area, and of course there’s a TV to watch the race.

To get to the establishment at Devonshire Street, you can take several public transport options. The nearest train station is Central Station, which is around a 10-15 minute walk away. You can also take buses that stop at Crown Street or Devonshire Street, which are both a short distance from the location.
If driving, there are paid parking spots available on the streets surrounding the establishment. Alternatively, there are several commercial parking lots nearby within walking distance.
