A little appreciation post for some very special locals.
For almost 20 years, every Wednesday, the Kurrajong Volunteer Gardeners have been quietly working away, keeping our beautiful village looking its best.
From maintaining the verges, trimming, weeding and looking after the car park, these wonderful volunteers have done it all.
Pictured are just some of the amazing locals who currently give up their time each week to look after our village.
But this thank you goes beyond this picture. It’s for every single volunteer who has been part of this wonderful group over the years.
It’s people like you who make Kurrajong such a beautiful place to live, work and visit.
Your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed, and we are so lucky to have people who care so much about our little village.
From all of us at The Village Kitchen, thank you for everything you do.

There’s something special about a brownie recipe that has travelled with you for years — especially when it finally finds a home on your own menu.
Our Biscoff Chocolate Brownie is made in-house, just like everything we bake, and it’s one of those recipes that’s simply too good to leave behind.
This recipe has followed me around the Hawkesbury for years, so it feels pretty special to share it with you in our own little place.

1. If you're coming from Sydney, take the M4 Motorway and follow signs for the Great Western Highway (A32).
2. Merge onto the Great Western Highway and continue until you reach Kurrajong.
3. Turn onto Bells Line of Road and follow it until you arrive at your destination on Old Bells Line of Road.
4. There is parking available nearby.
**Public Transport:**
1. Take a train from Central Station to Richmond Station on the T1 Western Line.
2. From Richmond Station, catch a bus (Route 683) towards Kurrajong.
3. Get off at the nearest stop along Old Bells Line of Road.
