Farewell
After 20 years, Arno's will be closing its doors on the 26th July
Many of you already know about the challenges I have faced with the building. For more than two years, I have asked the landlord to meet their obligations and maintain the property to the standard required for a safe and functional business. Despite providing building reports, plumber reports, SafeWork NSW advice, and Woollahra Council reports, those issues were not addressed.
This has added additional operational costs which the owner has failed to acknowledge
This is a devastating outcome-not because the business lacked support, but quite the opposite. Your support has been overwhelming, and I will be forever grateful.
I have had the privilege of serving this community for the past 20 years. Many of you started as customers and became friends. Some became family. When you spend seven days a week doing something you love, surrounded by people you care about, those relationships become one of life's greatest gifts.
To my incredible team, I cannot thank you enough. Your loyalty, dedication, and resilience carried us through some incredibly difficult times.
To every customer who walked through the doors, ordered takeaway, shared a meal, celebrated a special occasion, or simply stopped by for a chat-thank you. You have made it more rewarding than I could ever have imagined.
Thank you for the laughter, the stories, the friendships, and the memories. You have made my career everything I could have hoped for, and so much more.
Although this chapter is ending, I will always be grateful for the years we shared together and for the community that made Arno's so special.
