The BF team were all SUPERSTARS. Each and every one of them gave their 100% and sometimes it felt as though they treated BF as if it was their own little business.

Over the years we had staff come and go, more often they'd stay around for a good run and hang on to BF for just a couple of hours a week, even when it probably made more sense to just leave. They were the familiar faces you'd see when you visited the store. Without the team, BF couldn't have become the awesome little business it was.

I'd often hear from other businesses of how staffing is a struggle for them and I was always happy to boast about how it wasn't the case for me. Staff showed for work, jobs got done (+ more) but above all they had fun & enjoyed coming in to work. We were more a family than work environment with mutual respect for each other. I am proud for what the BF team achieved & they meant the 🌎 to me. I'll forever be grateful for these guys.

I came, I saw, I burgered.

Thank you, thank you & thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the love over the last 6 years+. I’ve rolled thousands of buns, cut hundreds of tonnes of potatoes, made hundreds of kilos of pickles and even more hundreds of litres of secret sauce. Most of all I kept it real and did it my way. Burger Frank has been my first baby, it’s challenged me (a lot) and I’ve absolutely loved every day of it. It’s had some downs (but not a lot) and these can only be trumped by all of our ups. If you’ve ever stopped by, even just once- thank you. To those who missed out in our final week- I’m sorry.

It’s Friday night and those Friday regulars would usually be placing their orders for pick up at some stage tonight, but not on this occasion and not next week or thereafter. For now it’s goodbye (not see you soon), but you never know which way BF may (or may not) appear in the future.

Over the next week I’ll be posting a few appreciation posts to thank those who have been a part of BF over the years & helped make it what it was.

Looking to grab your last BF fix today, please read the below before attempting to order. Frankly it is not fun to have to set these rules, but it’s the only way we can get it to work. Thanks in advance if you get it:

1. APP ORDERS will not be available today. Our final menu is very limited and making the app available has opened the floodgates to an uncontrollable amount of orders coming in at once. Unfortunately we cannot allocate a set amount of pickup times to timeslots and the below method is the only way that it’ll work. If you have unused app credit to use, show us via your app when you are in store and we can honour it.

2. LUNCH ORDERS will be given priority to in store customers. We have had lengthy cues in store before we open and the best way to manage lunch is to handle everything in store first. If you want to call ahead for your lunch order, please do so from 10.30 (but goodluck, with one line = one call at a time) and all lunch phone orders will be allocated between 2-3 this afternoon (when this timeslot fills we cannot take anymore lunch phone orders).

3. If you are wanting to PRE-ORDER your Friday night burgers, your safest bet will be to cue at the store during lunch OR try the phone between 10.30-12. But given the above and when the handset battery just suddenly dies, this makes it near impossible to take every call. We’ll make our best attempts to answer outside of this but can’t promise it’ll get answered. If you’re looking to dine in tonight, your only way will be to order as above and if there’s a table you can eat in.

4. NO LOADED FRIES at all and MILKSHAKES, ICED TEA & HOUSEMADE SODA is very limited to in store orders for lunch (not phone orders) only and we will not be taking orders for these for tonight i.e. grab what’s left in store at lunch only.

5. ALL ORDER SIZES WILL BE LIMITED to 6 burgers and 4 side fries per order. We want to give the best opportunity for as many people as we can to order today and also to control wait times the best we can. We have a single grill and single fryer and we can’t accommodate group orders today.

THANK YOU! The last 7 days have been crazy (times a million), all of your words of support and love have been overwhelming. We definitely feel that BF will be missed by many. Thank you also for everyone who’s grabbed a preorder copy of the BF Cookbook- we’ve sold a crazy amount in just 24 hours! This is our plan for Thursday and we’ll post tomorrow to let you know how we’ll deal best with our last day:(

1. APP ORDERS will be available today from 12pm. Our app issue has been fixed and you can now see the wait time before you place your order. Please make sure you check this before you place your order (it’s the last screen before you submit your order). To help with the flow of in store and app orders there will likely be a 60-90 minute wait on app orders from midday. We also may need to close the app when it becomes unmanageable.

2. PRE-ORDER your Thursday night takeaway on the app while it’s available during our lunch service. We will also take phone orders when we can and provide you with the best wait time we can in store and on the phone. We’re open until 8.30 tonight. Please do not pre-order any Friday orders today as we may run out of some items before Friday and can’t guarantee the whole menu will be available tomorrow.

3. We are running very low on the drinks in our fridge and have a very limited range left and so we have removed the COMBO from the app. Some other items will also be unavailable or running too low to have on the app. Please check in store if your favourites are not available on the app.

We’re still working on the stacks of DMs to our socials, we’ll get back to them as soon as we can!

We had had a CRAZY weekend and we thank everyone who has stopped by and especially for the all heartfelt messages left and spoken. We have felt a whole lot of ❤️. We apologise for anyone trying to call the store from mid afternoon through until last night. We had an apparent phone outage which we can only blame from interference from the Boots and Beats festival as late last night the phone was back in order. At this stage we’re going to deal with the last few days as they come and for Sunday this is our plan:

1. SUNDAY NIGHT CLOSED. Due to the craziest of weekends we forecast that by lunchtime our supplies will be too low to manage Sunday night. There’s only so much fridge space, prep space & time we can deal with each day and unfortunately demand for BF got the better of us. Please do not call to pre-order for tonight and heads up that we may not even make it to 3pm today. Sorry for anyone planning a Sunday night BF fix.

2. We will be taking STORE ORDERS ONLY today to help with wait time for dine in customers and best manage the flow of orders. We will also take phone orders when we can and provide you with the best wait time we can. Please be patient.

3. Last night we had to make SUBSTITUTIONS for some items and this will be the case today. For our last few days most items will be back.

4. We have had APP ISSUES for some customers with wait time not displayed. We have been on the backs of our app provider to fix this but at this stage it’s unresolved. The app will be off today but next week we’ll run it early lunchtimes for anyone who has credit to use and to help with dinner pre-orders. If you can’t see your wait time on the app which is usually displayed prior to hitting the confirm button, please call the store.

5. We’re hoping to be OPEN WEDNESDAY as an additional day for our final week. We’ll keep you posted if we can make it happen.
