The highlight of my time at khamsa ♥️
My Amto Hajjar (who taught me to cook) and Amto Khadejah visiting the cafe from Jordan, just a coincidence they were here for my sister’s wedding.
It was a joy spending time with them and getting to enjoy home cooked meals, and sharing recipes and being in the arms of those who came together apart of the village and raised you and made you who you are.
Living abroad is one of the hardest parts of life, a feeling like you are ripped from your natural home, from your family, culture and traditions. It’s an honour to have them visit.
I couldn’t have closed without them seeing what they inspired in me ♥️ a moment I will cherish forever.
