Last Friday and Monday, I had the pleasure of volunteering at the Sydney Royal Easter Show with the lovely Ian and Brigid for a brand new cookie decorating workshop organised by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW and proudly sponsored by Arnott’s Biscuits.
And what a success it was…
Over 1,000 children joined us across 2 days for creativity, fun, colour and a little baking magic 🍪✨
Seeing so many happy faces reminded me why I love this industry so much.
Grateful to have been part of something special.
Now back in the Bakealicious kitchen creating for this weekend 🎂🤍

A few weeks ago I strained a ligament in my left wrist carrying a heavy cake and had to slow down more than I wanted to.
At the same time, I was also dealing with some Dermatitis on my face and needed to focus on recovery.
But behind the scenes, Bakealicious never stops caring.
From weighing ingredients, baking vegan cupcakes from scratch, decorating wedding cakes and preparing deliveries across Sydney… we always keep going.
Feeling much stronger now and grateful to be back doing what I love.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support this little business of mine 🤍
Sydney… we’re ready for your next celebration.

Some days start early and end with unforgettable celebrations 🎂✨
Today’s deliveries took us from weddings to milestone moments across Sydney — including Miramare Gardens, Taronga Zoo Events and an iconic harbour venue.
Grateful to be trusted with life’s special moments.
Which stop would you choose first? 👇

It’s been a big week in the kitchen… and I haven’t even had time to post 🤍
We’ve been flat out baking, creating, and delivering cakes — all while I’ve been managing my wrist injury behind the scenes.
But today was something special.
I went to a cake picnic and got to slow down (just a little), connect with some incredibly talented women, and create this beauty ✨
A 3-tier stacked square vanilla cake with dulce de leche, finished with vintage piping in spearmint — the colour of the year.
So lovely meeting
and the beautiful Fran from Australian Women’s Weekly,
and Elisa — the creator of 💫
Feeling inspired and very grateful to be part of this industry 🤍

✨ What building Bakealicious actually looks like.
Running a premium cake studio isn’t just flour and butter.
It’s strategy mornings at home.
Podcast planning.
Testing new recipes.
Fixing broken cupboard doors.
Healing while still showing up.
It’s messy before it’s beautiful.
And every cake that leaves our kitchen carries all of that with it.
International Women’s Day prep is underway 💗
And Sunday… our first guest episode of Every Cake Has a Story launches 🎙✨
Stay close. Much love, Gab 🤍

Yesterday I recorded my first official guest episode of Every Cake Has a Story 🎙️
Conversations like this remind me that baking isn’t just about recipes.
It’s about craftsmanship.
It’s about standards.
It’s about quality ingredients.
And the people behind the industry.
So grateful to sit down with Gary Willis from Mayers Fine Food and talk chocolate, sourcing and what it really takes to build something lasting.
The episode is coming very soon 🤍
In the meantime, my latest solo episode is now live on YouTube. Click on link đź”— on my profile. The Cake I talk about involves multiple layers of thin sponge!

Last week didn’t go to plan.
I had a severe allergic reaction to a cream I applied on my face to treat a Dermatitis on my skin. So I had to pause a little and take it easy.
But when I see photos of my clients smiling and eating our cakes it’s what reminds us all why Bakealicious exists. And it certainly puts a gigantic smile on my face too!
It’s never just about cake.
It’s about the smile after the first bite.
The quiet “wow.”
The celebrations that bring people together.
Grateful to be back to my usual self filming podcasts, baking and doing/talking all things cake.
— Gabriela 🤍
