Los Monjes // our first house coffee. we’re lucky to have access to this beautiful coffee. our roasting style has been adapting over time and while we started with raspberry and chocolate it has evolved into more of an earl grey with still chocolate undertones. we’ve been serving this up as both espresso and filter with different roast styles for each.
Los Monjes means “the monks” and is related to a community in an area of Hulia, Colombia - of spiritual significance. Oporapa is the locality. this coffee was harvested last year around midyear and we are almost finished with our supply. approx 40 producers have contributed to this lot of coffee and it holds a majority of the Caturra variety along with a little Castillo, Colombia and a fraction of Typica.
we hope you have enjoyed this coffee for the past few months and thanks to Caravela for helping us source this coffee.
feel free to pop in at Seaforth and ask us anything about the coffee :)
