A little appreciation for one of the people behind GROUP LAFAYA from the very beginning. 🇲🇺🪘
Joel has been at the heart of LAFAYA since day one, shaping the group into what it is today and keeping the ravanne beating along the way.
But his contribution to Sydney’s Mauritian community goes well beyond the stage. Through Baz Lovely People, he helps bring the food we grew up with closer to home and makes Mauritian flavours more accessible here in Sydney. Through the events he organises through luvly people entertainment he continues to create opportunities for our community to come together and stay connected to the island.
A lot of work goes on behind the scenes to keep a culture present when you’re thousands of kilometres from home. Joel has been doing exactly that for years.
One of the foundations of GROUP LAFAYA, and a true contributor to the Mauritian community in Sydney. 🇲🇺
